Reasonable expectations for CBJ

it will be a surprise if CBJ gets to a bowl game,if he does it will be a great coaching job, there is a major lack of speed on the D,a lot of big guns will be gone on the O side, the O line should be good, should have a good running game, what will the passing game look like ? i believe CBJ is a very good coach,he will need a good staff and some good recruiting to build the program back up,going to take some time

Realistically, I expect a bowl game in 2013, but I would still be a little disappointed with 6-6. I know our schedule is tougher and we're going to lose a lot of offensive fire power, but I still think we should be able to find 7 wins. I could settle for 6-6 and bowl victory, just as long as there is SOMETHING to show that we're heading in the right direction.

Beyond that, I want us back in SEC east contention by 2015.

I don't think either of those are too much to ask.

Win the SEC East in 2-3 yrs. and an SEC Championship in 4 yrs. with hopefully a NC to cap his run. The NC will be his players and his game plan.

You're kidding...right? You guys kill me with this expectation crap. Hang on! This is gonna be some ride.
I'm just trying to take it one day at a time. First, I would just like to see six wins and a bowl game...geez.
You know just some baby steps.

I hope Butch beats Vandy. 7-5 is not unrealistic.

7-5 could happen, sure. However let's not forget about what we lose on offense and keep on defense. It could be another very long year. People need to be prepared for that.

I went back and watched some Cincy games, and this is my observations. Their QB play was not that great this year. Their O line and D line are not overly talented. Our O line should be much more talented. Our D line could be, but I just don't know. Our D was horrible. Also, I could see Jason Croom being big this year. They had a player on their team, Kelce, I believe his name was. He played TE/WR and was huge for them. I could see Jason Croom filling this role for us with no issues. I hope we can recruit a good RB, or I hope one of ours step up. I could see Q Watson maybe filling the role that #1 did on their team as well. Or maybe even Pig.

Id be satisfied with 10 win seasons being the norm again. But I expect next season to be ugly regardless of the coach.

If he can't even beat vandy then we have not made the right hire.

Vandy's not the Vandy of old and currently we're still the Tennessee of new. I honestly don't see CBJ whipping our players into enough shape to beat them next year. They're disciplined and fast, while we're probably losing our 3 main all stars on offense.

Realistic? 7-5, 8-4. And in a few years, sneak past one of the powers in the conference and finish 9-3. With UF, Bama, SCe, and UGA on the schedule every year, a L is more than likely until these teams change coaches.

sadly, I tend to agree with this guy.
