1.) Brian Williams guards ball screens about as well as a handicapped person. There was a very noticeable difference when Fields was in. Williams needs to sit immediately.

2) Cam Tatum decided to take the night off. His not contesting the 6 foot Rotnei Clarke on two occasions was inexcusable. He also provided nothing offensively.

3) Moronic Substitutions: Harris sparks a run, and he is removed in favor of Pearl. McBee getting minutes is still baffling.

4.) Turnovers: 18 of them in a slow, halfcourt game is a recipe for disaster on the road.

I'd have to add free throws, lack of effort, zero intensity, absolutely no leadership, inept preparedness, and any sort of desire to compete and win a basketball game.

And Golden who didn't see the floor after this silly substitution. He was instrumental to this run.

Number 3 was borderline retarded. Why does Harris sit at that point?

I have no idea. He was basically our only offensive option, and we replace at a critical part of the game with the worst offensive player in Div. 1.

Mcmiss came in the game and within a span of 2 minutes he had TO .a miss shot and and left his man open for an easy 2.This guy is nothing but pathetic. There is no reason for him or Pearl jr even touching the floor.Until Pearl stops with the rotation and stops playing these two idiots its only going to get worse.
Tony Jones will not get any head coaching job any time soon.

Coach Pearl has made his career by playing 3 quick guards and pressing. He won that way in division two, at Milwalkee wisconson, and in the early years at ut. for some reason, he stopped recruiting thoses type of players and started recruiting 6' 5" or 6'6" guards. We can not press or guard guards one on one. We really have 1 guard playing all the time. Scotty is a 3 not a 2. Tatum is a 3. We are handycapped anytime we play teams with quick gurards. Bruce has done this to himself so He is to blame!!!!!

Poor defensive effort from Harris too.

Your determination to bash Harris is somewhat baffling to me. I see you posts, I understand you are a Hopson fan, but what I dont understand is your need to dog Harris.

He is the one bright spot we have out there. Maybe we got a bad defensive showing from him today, but would you post as if he's our worst player.

Does it bother you to see him do well, and Hopson not playing like he should.

Seriously, look at the game again, this time watch our guard's (Hopson included) Defense...just like our interior defense, its pretty bad, specifically our off the ball defense.

for sure.. how was pearl playing down the stretch there? wouldn't you want four guards in the game that could give you a reasonable chance at a tying three?

If that means putting McBee in, I'd rather have Pearl on the floor.

Criticizing one aspect of a player's game does not equate to bashing. I bash one player and one player only, McBee. No doubt Tobias was an offensive force today. I'm not doing what you think I'm doing.

If I had to choose one I'd have to go with our consistent poor defense on ball screens today. Not sure what the concept was. We kept jumping the screen and letting the guy with the ball have a straight lane to the basket and the defender guarding the screener wouldn't ever step up to help. Then we'd have to rotate over and give up easy dish offs for layups/dunks. Pretty stupid that we kept doin that all game. That kinda stuff needs to be an in game adjustment, which never happened.

You are tho, sure Harris could have played better defense, so could have at least 3 more of our players.

11 rebounds along with those 21 points, some could argue that rebounds have something to do with defense

We could sit up here and talk about our 6'7 2guards lack of rebounding, Our PG's lack of assists, or our starting 3guards lack of....presence.

You instead try to blame the loss on our ONE bright spot.

I see what you try to do, in your eyes, "The sun don't shine if hopSON dont shine"

I concur. This team didnt show up until there was about 6 minutes left in the game. Had they played hard for forty minutes they would have best Arkansas by 15+. Bone is the only Vol who could guard that shooter. The team showed little intensity, , where was the passion, poise and purpose. And arkansas is not that good.lP

I never blamed our loss on Harris's offense. I'm sorry if I offended you man, but come on, stop acting like you can read minds.

All Pearl wants is big men. It's been that way for years. You know it's funny how little recruits like Lofton and Jajuan were alot better than these "all americans". We need fast guys and ones that can shoot. You can't rely on Hopson. Harris is like the only one that actually tries his best

Need to add our fill in coach is not very good at being a head coach.
