I agree with the guy that this game isn't one that warranted criticizing Tobias Harris. Seems like he's going a little overboard on your crush on Scotty Hopson though.

Correct. Jones can't shoot foul shots and handle the ball for them. I don't know what it takes to motivate this team. There is no leadership from the players. They would have gotten a leg up on Kentucky today with a win. We'll see how next week goes. This team is like a yo-yo. Very painful to watch a team with potential to play against anyone and win or anyone and lose.

He is the one bright spot we have out there. Maybe we got a bad defensive showing from him today, but would you post as if he's our worst player.

Does it bother you to see him do well, and Hopson not playing like he should.

Seriously, look at the game again, this time watch our guard's (Hopson included) Defense...just like our interior defense, its pretty bad, specifically our off the ball defense.

So true. He is the only future NBA player on the roster. Enjoy him for the year you have him.

Ha. I will absolutely admit that Scotty is my favorite player on this team, and he has been very difficult to defend sometimes here on VN for his silly mistakes and whatnot. Hence, I don't talk him up too-too much. We all know that Scotty didn't have an especially great game yesterday and that Tobias was our offensive gem. I don't know why that guy brought up my Hopson fandom either; I don't think I ever mentioned his name while I was posting during the game (could be wrong). Arkansas had to work for a lot of their shots, and what I really remember are the plays that we got burned on. Again, what I remember is seeing Tobias nearly on the other side of the court many many times allowing for uncontested layups. I'm not saying it didn't happen to Scotty or anyone else, but the majority of my commentary for the game was like, "GOOD JOB TOBIAS!!" (offense) then "NOOOOOO TOBIAS WTF ARE YOU DOING!?!?" (defense).

Totally baffles my mind why McBee continues to get minutes. You have a really good athlete here who is raw, and the best thing for him to do is get playing time. Why isn't he?

Also, putting in Pearl for the first time with 8 minutes to go and taking out Tobias might be the dumbest coaching decision ever. As my dad said "It's like Bruce texted someone Stevie hadn't played in the game yet."

Maymon has 4 to's in just a few minutes of playing time. S.Pearl would've been ripped if he had done that. Maymon is no better shooter from outside 5ft than Pearl. Our back up 4's are terrible.

Weak bench and some weak minded starters, bad combination.

they need to set Hopson down and let him watch the tapes of Lofton at the end of games and hard he worked to get open to get the last shot

Hopson certainly has his faults. However, I think the last few games have been his best. He will always take the ball directly to the defender, rather than keeping it away that results in numerous turnovers. However, he didn't force stupid shots against Arkansas and let the game come to him most of the time. Without him, we would only have one offensive player. He has his faults, but this team needs him on the floor for most of every game.
