Recommendations on traveling to OMAHA

I am a local and you got a lot of good info given to ya already.

Hotels: as mentioned the Iowa side will probably be the more budget friendly, I recommend sticking close to the hotels that are attached to or close to the Casinos and if you don't care about the price then downtown Omaha (Old Market area ) will save you car rental or uber fees as everything is pretty close to the stadium. Sounds like the boys will be staying at the Marriott this year which is close to the stadium.

Stadium/Parking : Parking is usually affordable if you cant find metered parking / Lot D usually is where the larger tailgates will happen (where I will be camped out most days) and you can buy daily passes for that off any ticket resale sight that are usually double the normal cost but they also usually sell daily passes at the gate for that lot to the first 150 cars or so at $15, this lot is easy to get to the stadium but is a little bit of a jaunt to the "Baseball Village " area where all your main vendors will be but still doable.

Tickets: For Friday night it will be pricey but could fall closer to game time but that decision is up to you, once the week goes on the prices will always be cheapest around game time. They do hold tickets back for each game at the box office that are on a lottery system, if you have time to go early to the stadium and get a number you can get good seats at face value. Lottery works as follows : lets say you have 200 people in line and everyone gets a number, the box office will then draw a number, lets say its 150, that person will be first in line for what they have and #149 will be last. Its an option if you want the full CWS experience haha.

Any ticket you get if in the 103 - 122 section lets say row 32 and higher will be underneath an overhang, watch out for people selling GA tickets (sections 125 -136 ) at high prices because unless something has changed recently, those aren't guaranteed seats as they sell booklets for all sessions and its a FCFS bases until capacity has been reached. (Don't hold me to this about GA tickets)

Golf Courses : Close to stadium decent public courses will be :
Iowa - Dodge Riverside, Bent Tree (my personal recommendation) and then Shoreline

Nebraska : (most of these will be a bit of a driver from downtown but worth it on a day off, listed in order of what I think is best) Indian Creek (West Omaha/Elkhorn area), Iron Horse (Ashland area, Beautiful), Tiburon (Gretna area , 27 holes), and then closer to downtown public courses: Tregaron (Bellevue area), Johnny Goodman (Mid-Town area).

Hangouts : Downtown - Addy's, DJ's Dugout, Let it Fly and then the Old Mattress Factory will have a huge beer garden attached to the baseball village.
Any advice on coming in RV with no tow vehicle and 6 people. I have been before, but both times was on my motorcycle so getting where I wanted to go was really easy.

I went last year for the first time. My notes are below.
Tickets- I waited until just an hour before game time to buy all my tickets. Prices dropped quick and got good seats to most of the games (Ticketmaster). Looks like it will be hot so if we have the day game try to sit on 3rd base side row 25 and up to get some shade. It got crazy hot last year. Also, go to the other games not just TN. My kids liked sitting in the outfield first few rows but direct sun all day.

Parking- parking was easy and never had a problem. Paid $30 a day to park.

Hotels- if you can afford it $400+ night stay close to the stadium. We stayed 20 min away and still paid $250 a night but had to watch how much we drank😁.

General info- had a blast watched 8 games in 4 days . Kids loved all the vendor stuff . Stadium has water towers for free refills. Plenty of restaurants around and bars within walking distance. Easy drive to Omaha , 10 hours from west TN.

Any other questions let me know!
Do the hotels have a shuttle to the stadium?

I'm not sure if any of the lots around the stadium offer RV parking/hookups...........Horseshoe Casino on the Iowa side does have a lot dedicated for RV's and I believe that dedicated area has all needed hookups, the north lot supports RV's as well but no hookups, I think this would be easiest if you cant get close to stadium as it will be easy access for rideshare programs to get you into the stadium area. There is also a nice new camp site at a state/city recreation area that is also not far away that has put in a new camp area that would be a great option but not sure if ride-share would be willing to grab you from there and that is Manawa State Park in Council Bluffs, IA

I'm going to do some more digging and see what other options I can get you.

Anybody who has any details on driving a motorhome to the ball games please let me know. We are renting a motorhome and driving through the night Thursday night and back Sunday night. Having new jobs is not fun. But it’s still better than having no jobs.
Too bad I can't go until next weekend.
I could have been a navigator and team driver.

Making plans to travel to CWS and need recommendations. Never been and this is one of my bucket list items, so any recommendations will be appreciated. Should you wait and buy tickets there? Any places to stay away from? Where do other UT fans hang out at? Golf courses for the off days? Thanks in advance! Go Vols

This place has really good pizza!

Anyone staying at the Doubletree downtown?

Looking at a trip there for the championship games next Saturday/Sunday/Monday and it requires the fewest Honors points. Other Hilton properties are 10k more per night and wondered if was worth the extra points to stay at another Hilton property. Online reviews have it a 3.5 out of 5 which is lower than what I would expect for a Doubletree.
