How the hell did you know I was pronouncing half of their names wrong just by me typing them?

This also needs to be done for all of the UT sports rosters. It's not freaking Nukweese Richardson!!! Get it right!

Emanuel Negedu = E-Man-U-L Nuh-gay-doo Not, Manuel TheGayDude!

These are mainly aimed at my Gator fan buddies.

Jacques Smith pronounces his first name as jah-kwez. My sister is a friend of his, so I'm 100% sure of it.

Too bad the title of this thread is "recruit pronunciation guide" and not "commit pronunciation guide"

Luc is pronounced "Luck"

"Of course, it will take more than that to win the sweepstakes for the 6-foot-1, 230- pound Luc (pronounced LUCK). A consensus 5-star prospect and the No. 1-rated linebacker in the nation, Luc commanded more than 50 offers at the outset of his recruitment as a junior last season." A link in the J. Luc thread.

Just in case someone yells his name at the au game.

Luc has said he doesn't care if people pronounce it Luke or Luc. I can't remember which way he says it though.

I've heard the same. His parents are both Haitian immigrants though and the correct pronunciation is "Luke." Think Jean Luc Picard. Orgeron actually speaks Creole when he talks to his parents. Little sidenote there.

"Luc" is the French form of "Luke". Being that he's Haitian, and Haiti is French speaking country, LUKE is the correct way to pronounce it.

It's Luke folks. He might say he doesn't care how people pronounce it, but that's likely because he's been hearing it pronounced wrong his entire life and just got tired of correcting people. The paper is wrong, it's Luke.

The last part of that is good to hear. Wasn't that one of the main reasons he was about to get Ted Laurent?

Cajun Creole is different from what they speak in Haiti, bu it is French based so they can probably get some words across.
