Recruiting Class Predictions (merged)

But Pearl. . he knows Brunetti personally!!! woooohoooo WOW, these jacka**es with their superiortiy complexes over what??? You post what you like my man. I think a lot of us are sick and tired of a few of these individuals pompous attitudes. Volnation is fun to read and it should stay that way.

I would go more 50/50 with us and USC. He will not go to Illinois, not enough profile and not the right offense.

50/50 or 33.3/33.3/33.3. Oklahoma is probably in it as well but he has visited and so far hasn't set an official visit with them. That's definitely good news so I hope it's 50/50. Not that I want to see Tennessee go up against USC again. Don't exactly want to see them go up against Oklahoma either. It's amazing what this staff is doing. It's also shocking that they don't have any 5 star recruits yet after landing 2 in such a short time period last time. I guess I'll just have trust that they'll pull it off again as time expires with the game on the line. :p

:lolabove: Damn, we need more posters like you. I don't blame you for posting so little though. I'm sure being busy is part of it but you have such a low post count from when you signed up. I can only assume the other part is not wanting to deal with some of the backlash. You're right on the money though. There are some people here that just take things way too seriously and think the more you post, the more knowledge you have. This is just something fun to do being a big sports fan/Tennessee fan. I like any huge UT fan want to chuck a beer through the screen when they lose. It's definitely not the end of the world though. This whole talking crap to fellow Vols fan because they don't devote their life to following recruiting is crazy though. Maybe I shouldn't have posted a mock, idk. Some people here are crazy serious though. Not like I was throwing out false info. We need to all sit back, relax and drink some beer. This staff is awesome and this was a long rant. Here here!

I think Vader's class is going to be very close to the end result

Agreed, except I see us pulling a couple of big dogs around signing day like Prater, a top running back, a couple of previous commits elsewhere, maybe Powell, Riggs, etc.. I bet Vader has about 75% right which is damn good before the season starts. We will see.

get over it guys ...
theres no rule that only few people who have inside info should have the privilege to start a mock class thread..

If TOP wants to have a mock class take it as a mock class :zeitung_lesen:

stop bashing people :furious3:... theres a reason its called a mock class...
lets end the fight here.

i respect you Jmva for all the info but i think we should stop it here ..

after all we all are one cheering for the VOLS

:). Just grabbed another beer.

I'm over this. I just wanted to fix this because it seems to be a problem that's going to repeat itself. I just see no point in talking s*** to someone whether you agree or not. Being wrong is usually an honest mistake. I can see being a jerk to someone if they are talking s*** while being wrong. Most people aren't like that. It's easier to say you disagree and state why or give a link showing they are wrong. Flat out insulting people is uncalled for. Especially when you have nothing to back it up with. Anyways... beer :)

That other so called insider is a tool no doubt, but for a guy getting drunk on a Saturday night, you sure do get your feelings hurt easily. :w00t:

It's just an internet forum.

i know you put it as iffy but do you really think there is hope in this case? that WR class would be amazing.

Anyone else thinks Ambles kind of resembles Usher?
I was thinking 50 cent.

We never showed any interest in Jamarcus Hines. He showed a lot of interest in us and in this board though.

Looks good. You're 6 players short though.

Yeah. I was only picking players that UT is in front for or close to. Those were the only players I remember reading about. I am sure there are others that I forgot. I am guessing there will be a surprise player or two that comes out of nowhere. If Tennessee goes 5-1 in the first half of the season I wonder what the staff is going to do about lower rated players that have already committed. I have a feeling Tennessee will blow up if they start out 5-1. Would suck to turn away better recruits because there is no room and it makes the school look bad if they pull offers to kids who have committed.

Jose Jose and Kevin Revis are expected to both compete at C next year. So we don't need another center.

And Stocker and Ben Bartholomew should both be back next year at TE (and Hood might end up there too), so we don't need another TE either.

But it would be really nice to get one of each in this class.

Here's my final mock class. Some explanations provided below. I think this would easily be a top 10 class, possibly even breaking the top 5, with the new cap on scholarships. [Brackets] indicate predicted Rivals rating.

QB - Tyler Bray (4*)
RB - Michael Dyer (5*)
FB - Channing Fugate (3*)
WR - Markeith Ambles (4*)
WR - Demarco Cobbs [5*]
WR - Matt Milton (4*)
TE - Dakota Mosely (3*)
OL - Cameron Clemmons (3*)
OL - Zach Fulton [4*]
OL - Jose Jose (3*)
OL - Darius Kilgo (3*)
OL - Marquis Pair (3*)
OL - James Stone (4*)

DT - Risean Broussard (3*)
DT - John Brown [4*]
DT - Pat Harris [3*]
DT - Carlton Martin (4*)
DE - Max Beaulieu (3*)
DE - J.C. Copeland (4*)
DE - Jacques Smith (4*)
LB - Bruce Irvin [3*]
LB - Michael Taylor [4*]
LB - Ralph Williams (3*)
CB - Keion Payne [4*]
CB - Dale Trimble (3*)
S - Dietrich Riley (4*)

ATH - Delvin Jones (4*)
K - Michael Palardy (3*)

Total - 28
5* - 2
4* - 13
3* - 13
Average - 3.61

*Dyer/Mosely: Dyer has recently said we are option 1a behind Auburn. I think we will have a much better season than AU, plus with Coach O closing, we will get these guys come NSD.

*Clemmons/Kilgo: two guys who have said we were leaders but I don't think we are taking commitments because there are bigger fish out there right now. I think in the end we will take them though for OL depth.

*Beaulieu/Payne/Jones: more Eddie Gran magic.

What is exciting about our staff is that there are some guys that are probably off our radar completely that wr might get too

I want to add Uko to it, and I think we get Cameron Newton. I am happy overall with your list.
