Sab, I hope that by "bodies to compete" you mean we'll have something better than a make-shift OL with two walk-on starters. I know before Kiffhole left we had 8 OL on our board--do we still have a legitimate chance for that kind of haul, or are we likely looking at adding depth over two classes ('10 & '11)?

BTW, I don't want to discredit what our guys did on OL last year--b/c I honestly feel like they over achieved--but we need more size and skill than what two starting 6'2" 260lb walk-on O-linemen have.

And on a personal note; I feel like the Sullins twins are the epitome of what hard work and perseverance can acheive and I would personally like to thank them for them "giving their all for Tennessee."

Yep! We must pull in some solid O-lineman though. We need to camp out at Ambles house until signing day.

Why?? We have 2 returning starters at WR and four 4* WR already committed to this class. Time is short and we need recruits. If Ambles is waivering let him go, we have spent enough time with him and have other areas of need to spend time on.
One 5*reciever does not make a champion see (AJ GREEN UGA)
Lets move on from Ambles, he is possibly a great talent but if he wants to be a VOL, he'll be back....JMO GBO:rock:

I agree on Ambles we need O & D line man more than anything . It would be great to have him but time is ticking. Maybe even some mean Lb's would be nice.:peace2:

I think the offensive and defensive line will be a priority next year as well, but that's just the sort of situation we are in. We will not get every player that we would have before the change, but we will fill our allotment for offensive linemen. You can never have enough defensive linemen so it's hard to say we will do the same there. I think realistically we add 2 more DTs.

I can't believe we are still looking for an OL coach? why didn't we just keep Cregg? We better have someone awful good coming in?? Looks like to me if we kept Cregg, we would still have Cullen and Green locked up? Any thing less than getting these two lineman will be a disappointment and a major blunder on not retaining Cregg.

Probably because Cregg just hired at USC
WeAreSC.com - James Cregg hired as assistant coach

Look, I'm only new to this site. I was referred here. I am not new to anything football and especially the Vols. I have said several positive thins since arriving but I have also assesed the situation for what it is...not just what I want it to be. It is this trait along with my insight into football that earned me the request to join here.

I will tell you that the Barnett Hire was solid...very solid. Other than the strong character and integrity of Dooley I am still waiting on some new positive news. I am really waiting because there sure hasn't been alot of it in the last several days - so when I hear it, brother, I will welcome it and we can celebrate together!

Wow, I didn't get an invitation.
I just started reading and after a bunch of months of hanging out in VOLNATION, I joined and wrote a few posts.
I'm sorry if I didn't earn my membership properly.
