This year it is ALWAYS about what they are NOT calling....teams are cheating with absolute impunity...they are being encouraged by the refs ignoring it early on, and then you can see it get worse and worse as the game goes on.This is true. We win, they don't care that we were still held all day long. We were still called for significantly more penalties than the underdog, visitors. It's not always about the penalties that are called. It's more often the penalties that weren't called.
How can you not admit that the defense has improved year over year over year? That seems disingenuous. Is it prohibited for one to express his displeasure with subpar coaching? I also was racked over the coals when I said butch would never succeed here two years prior to his exit. I want the best for my Vols, when I see an obvious Achilles heel, I express my thoughts. I'm sorry if it hurts some feelings.
Birmingham crews exactly do give our opponents the green light early and often. This year it is ALWAYS about what they are NOT calling....teams are cheating with absolute impunity...they are being encouraged by the refs ignoring it early on, and then you can see it get worse and worse as the game goes on.
Especially this year… I said several times in the game thread that if they won’t call holding, and they won’t, then our pass Rush is neutralized. No pass rush means DB’s are screwed. It doesn’t matter how good you are, if the QB has all day then someone will get open eventuallyHow can you not admit that the defense has improved year over year over year? That seems disingenuous.
Are you blind?...can you really nit see our DLs getting manhandled on every pass play?...how do you explain the sudden precipitous drop in our defenses pass rush success over the last 3 games?...they went from one of the absolute best, most fearsome pass rushes in ALL of CFB to less than mediocre, even against that piece of crap scrub UConn team...please open your damn eyes man...the WHY is absolutely 1000% irrelevant....ALL that matters is that it IS absolutely happening...I don't care about explaining WHY.I see the Bama bias. It’s been going on for years and will continue to go on as long as Saban has his racket set up in Tuscaloosa. I just think some of y’all take victimhood when it comes to officiating to a ridiculous level. When we have so many positives to take away from today’s game, it’s just exhausting how some of y’all seem to have become addicted to complaining about calls you believe the refs missed. But I digress. If that’s how you get enjoyment from a win, then do carry on.

Corrupt Birmingham officiating is endangering the health and safety of players.Football rules must've changed. I watched Jaden Daniels get horsecollared and targeted without being called. Strange.
The SEC is endangering the health and safety of players by blatant corrupt officiating. It's a fact.Bama is lucky as hell that an opposing player doesn't get pissed at the lop-sided officiating and decide to put a hurt on Milroe or one of their other stars. You see a dirty hit like the one Daniels took and it's not hard to imagine an opposing player retaliating.
I can not get upset at Banks because of that absolute FACT...the SEC has gutted our pass rush.Especially this year… I said several times in the game thread that if they won’t call holding, and they won’t, then our pass Rush is neutralized. The officials were literally right there looking dead at them every time...I really don’t see how our boys are keeping their cool....they are getting screwed over so badly.
I'm afraid they are being baited into snapping....the SEC would love to kick our best players out for several games.
Not really. First half was uninspiring. The second half was obviously better. The stuff they gave up in garbage time wasn't unexpected in my mind because we had the young guys in. You expect that.My personal question is: are some/you mad about the defense's performance today?
It's not "victimhood." You are trying to shame people into silence. It's happening every game: that's the point. It needs to be called out.I see the Bama bias. It is ridiculous...but it is true. The SEC does not want us to return to elite status...it f's up their rigged system of power. Alabama and Tennessee have NEVER in all if SEC history been great at the same time.My point is this: Just the idea that the SEC would want to screw us in a game against friggin’ UCONN borders on ridiculous. The last thing the SEC would want is for one of its ranked teams to crap the bed and lose to a 1-7 out of conference foe. So the “the SEC hates us” narrative that some seem to be propagating as the reason why we had more penalties than UCONN is asinine.
I’m in agreement with you guys on the Bama game. It was rigged without question by Saban and his lackeys in Birmingham as are most Bama games. The Kentucky game was pretty squirrelly, too. But come on…nobody at the SEC HQ would benefit from Tennessee losing to UCONN.
I don't think they wanted us to lose against UCONN but I do believe they want to keep us down. They don't want to see a challenger to their current hierarchy. They've wanted a strong team from the west and east. That was their best chance to get two teams in the playoffs. Also, I think many underestimate the power that Saban yields. He got rules changed that he felt would hinder the Vols for goodness sake. He's ridiculously petty and resents the way he list in Neyland last year. You don't beat Saban without paying a price. My point is this: Just the idea that the SEC would want to screw us in a game against friggin’ UCONN borders on ridiculous.
