Hey VN...........

I don't do stuff like this, but I know the love and compassion on this forum.

I have to put down my golden lab Phoebe today after 15 years. She truly saved my life during some very difficult life experiences. She has been my best friend since the day I brought her home and will be missed more than anyone can imagine.
Some thoughts and prayer would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

What a good girl that is. Beautiful! All the love to you and the family Peay!

Big Q1 road win where ZZ and Vescovi combined for 10pts and 3-9 from 3 is... a strange feeling.

We've got some dawgs on this team and insane depth. When Vescovi gets back in his grove and ZZ is back up to game speed we will beat anybody. And when we need to lock an opponent down I want Vescovi, ZZ, JJJ, and Mashack on the floor. We've got an insane luxury this year.

Have a question for my medical friends and experienced broken bone brothers. Two weeks in with my broken wrist, yesterday I bent over to pet the cat. When I stood up it hurt and felt funny. Hurt bad last night. Okay today until while ago when I bent over. When I stood up it kinda popped 3 or 4 times and is hurting pretty badly right now. ??????
They need to get new X-rays.
That should not be happening.

Ligament damage causing the popping?

For those who did not see it - I watched every minute of that game last night. We have seen some strong Vol basketball played in the past, especially since CRB arrived on campus (thank you idgit Texas!). Last night was one of the pinnacle moments watching for me. On the road, quality opponent, hostile crowd, 60/40 whistle against us excluding garbage time. Our guys adapted in every phase of the game throughout the game. Wiscy would make a run, we would clamp down with D and slowly grow the lead. Our bench is so deep and it showed as Wiscy started running on fumes in the last 6-7 minutes of the game.

When the whistles went against our guys early and Wiscy was not getting any called against them - our guys adapted. They backed off, which allowed Wiscy's scorers more room. Our guys just focused on matching baskets with them while playing solid. We tightened the lanes down in the second half after adjustments with help on the drives, Wiscy had no answer. Our FT shooting is off the charts solid - all that shot them have great strokes now. When the 3s stopped falling the second half, we adapted and hit the intermediate J or pounded it inside. ZZ to Jonas and Awaka iso's stood out.

Gainey is money with time to shoot outside. DK - holy crap what a player. Just an absolute stud. We also have several coaches on the floor at any given time - the experience and leadership is amazing. This is a tournament team that just needs to stay healthy, especially inside.

Wiscy was like the road team on their own court despite having a packed house screaming all game. Beautiful. If we use this approach on the road against all of the quality opponents it is going to be an exceptional season. My concern has been the need for one more big inside who can handle it with some quality minutes as needed. They have him if he continues to develop in Phillips. Estrella will continue to grow and be ready for next season in important games. Phillips can grow this season and be ready for important games. He is very talented and tough.

Go Vols! Keep it going today!

None of us are perfect, but that doesn't mean we need to affirm wrong.

That God (if we're talking about the same one) made the law that "if you don't work, you don't eat". In the OT, He set up a welfare system that made the needy work to get out and pick up the food that the more fortunate left in their fields for them. And said in the NT, "go work hard so you can help others".

The problem I have with the claim that it's morally wrong to fire someone who ghosts their job and leadership is that that is actually claiming that the person has a RIGHT to the job (and its benefits), whether they perform it or not. So, one would need to make the moral argument that an individual who is either unwilling or unable to perform a job has the RIGHT to the benefits of that job--i.e. someone else's money, etc... As an added burden, they would need to either argue that that unwilling/incapable person has the right to the job over someone else who would otherwise take the job and perform it, or they would need to make the argument that everyone has a right to the produce of that job, whether they perform it or not. And then (to use a common retort), you're arguing for full-on Communism and the abolition of personal property rights.

So, where did God mandate that people have a right to other peoples' stuff, while refusing to work for it?
I have no interest in God's musings on the matter. Ole Miss gets to give their own scholarships to whoever they want (and take them away). The end.
