Also looking at Iowa's roster, it's very clear they took advantage of players that weren't likely getting drafted and were willing to take their covid year. Lots of 4th/5th year players.

I think as we continue to build back up the foundation here Heupel is making a similar choice with the roster. Bring back the guys that can return who are already bought in and contribute and also find portal players that are looking for more than just a bag.

We don’t even know if Pili is any good. We just know he’s probably better than 44…which is more of a commentary on 44 than it is on Pili.

It’s not just “people” it’s clearly the dad, too. That quote seems to be fairly obvious that the dad still wants his son to play QB at his next stop. Going to possibly ruin this kid’s career trying to chase a position he has no business playing when he could use his athleticism to learn a new position and actually play on the field and try and get to the NFL.

Banks is likely going to get an opportunity as HC which is what he wants.

You mean to tell me Mark Stoops promised him he'd get to compete at QB to get both brothers to commit, and our staff told them that Stoops was lying.

And Stoops didn't even give him a chance at QB?

And our staff said from day 1, "We aren't going to lie to you. You won't play QB here, but we will put you in the best position for you."

Kid should just go to Vandy at this point.

This is going to be strange to say, but some players know that's not going to happen and they just want to spend their time in college ball playing at the position of their choice.
