Landed in Orlando. Reading the game posts you would have thought that we were down by 40 for most of the game and scratched out a win. They biggest lead for the Illini was 5 and were held the lead for well over half the game. Maybe some of y'all should put the phones down during games and only post after it is over.

It was likely comparable to the one that came through Mt. Juliet in 2020. At least this one hit during the day. We had a couple here in 2020 that were killed in their bed. They probably never woke up. We barely made it up ourselves.
There’s a tornado magnet of violent tornado outbreaks/families touching down right at the metro area and traveling east to the Cumberland Plateau. Dating at least back to the 1930’s it’s happened at the least once a decade or so

They were able to play the game after all of the storms? I just saw there are 3 confirmed deaths in Clarksville.
I think the only tornado Clarksville had was up near Northwest High and the border. Didn't go through town.

There was a large wrestling tournament at Clarksville High today and they didn't have any problems. Interestingly, Hendersonville High was at that tournament and I think their school sustained some damage but I'm not sure.

On that note, I wonder how bad Drakes Creek Park got hit in H'ville.

and MLB is sitting here wondering why fewer and fewer people are watching and going to games.
Is that really true though? ‘23 saw the highest median attendance since ‘07

MLB attendance has fully rebounded from the pandemic, and then some. An average of 29,114 fans attended league games in 2023, up 9.6% from last year and the highest number since 29,923 people went to the average contest in 2017.

That statistic perhaps undersells MLB’s triumph, since a few stragglers such as the Oakland Athletics (10,276) and the Miami Marlins (14,356) dragged down the mean for the 30-team league. Indeed, the median team’s attendance, a metric that isn’t affected by those outliers, was the highest of any season since 2007 at 31,385. ”

the most fun i have ever had is when i can’t watch the games…. i will go back and read the thread before checking the score…. It never matches the actual game.
