What's funny is he will almost completely circumvent California tax law, retire and move back to Japan.
Ya I don't think Japan would extradite him hahayou can take the bet that CA if allowed, would go after him on wealth and unrealized capital gains taxes. They are even considering an exit tax. Unreal. Of course he can just give them the finger.
California Legislators Propose 0.4% Wealth Tax, Plus 16.8% Income Tax Rate
California seeks to increase it’s already stratospheric top 13.3% income tax to 16.8%, and the latest new tax the golden state wants to collect is a .4% wealth tax. The “leader” in state taxes already, this would be first-in-the nation wealth tax targeting the very wealthy.www.forbes.com
I agree...which is why a longtime baseball fanatic like me never watches anymore. This is why pro baseball sucks. Meanwhile small market teams sitting in a field in Mexico City scouting a winter league team.
Your communism is showing.I agree...which is why a longtime baseball fanatic like me never watches anymore.
I did enjoy going to TB Ray games and supporting them fir a while BECAUSE of the sickening inequities of MLB...but I got sick of watching the good ones jump ship as soon as they possibly could...I hate that money ruins everything, and I hate the idiots that defend it.
Why can we not have FAIR competition?
If we don't go after talent we need in the portal right now and finish this way, I won't be happy and I don't think most fans will be either--- knowing if we'd pulled the trigger on some difference makers, maybe we pick up another 1-2 W's...I think next year will be more enjoyable for most fans than this year, even if we finish 7-5 or 8-4. I think the offense will be more exciting to watch and generally people will recognize that we have a young team with better days ahead.
Holy sh&t….. we are just paying Ohtani 2 mill dollars per year….. Bring us all the players!!!! @knoxvol52 @UTSuave’
