You know that will be the narrative for any school that makes a stink about refs regardless of the context.
I dont think so. If its universally accepted that officiating needs to be better across the board, there isn't much crying people can do. . . at least not by anyone who can process a coherent thought.

It's pretty obvious that this terrible officiating happens in virtually every game. . . at least every game I've seen in the SEC this year. . . even in inconsequential OOC games. It's to the point where player health is becoming a big issue. I dont think anyone would want it to continue being his poor. I think no one would say they want the refs to dictate the games.

I think we’d need Alabama or Georgia on our side for it to make any difference to the SEC Office. If it’s us, South Carolina, ole miss and Kentucky complaining they’ll tell us to kick rocks and give us a fine for even bringing it up

Also how many times this year did you hear commentators questioning the officials, way more than I can remember in the past. Its worse than its ever been.

It should be throughout the entire NCAA. They need to have an officiating college/association that all refs come from. They need to be held accountable and answer post-game questions about their calls. That'll never happen, but it should.

If the pro sports leagues don’t even do that, you’re right, we’ll never see that in college.

Even if we protest nationally, we’d need a big dog standing with us otherwise we’ll just get laughed out of the room and fined.

Should be no conference affiliations. All payments should come through the NCAA. Same with training and management.

I agree, there is no accountability...... Especially in the sec.

I'm still irritated about them blowing plays dead several seconds after the snap. Never seen that done til this year. It was always; once the ball is snapped, the last play is over.

Just setting aside fairness and player safety. . . with gambling, NIL, TV contracts, etc, there is way too much money involved for the refs to have the amount of power that they have to dictate games with such a huge lack of accountability. That stuff shouldnt matter, imo. I feel like fairness and player safety is a big enough reason to give them proper training and hold them accountable.

It’s amazing we had that happen TWICE this season. I feel like if that happened in a major market game like a conference title or the playoff then there would be an organic outrage from fans they would notice.

Everyone knows the rule is you can’t initiate a review after the ball is snapped for the next play. And everyone would think it’s corrupt if it happened, but it has to happen in a game that all CFB fans are watching like a title gamd.

I agree with all of that. College football needs full time officials with no ties to any schools in the conference they are officiating in.
