The talent issue is that Wright is very talented. Doesn’t mean Sampson and Seldon aren’t.Just hope our RBs are the explosive, play makers everyone seems to think they are. Can't help but remind myself that they were backups for a reason. Just hope it was this staff's obsession with upperclassmen and not a talent issue that kept them off the field.
I’m not quite so sure that he’s universally accepted. I have a Bama friend who follows it closely who said he got lazy in recruiting before leaving Bama. That’s kind of how it’s played out. Sure, he’s done well in the portal, but that’s a 3 week whirlwind with NIL money as opposed to developing a relationship over 18 months. Bama is a different level, but I’m just not sure he has the motivation over a long period. I wouldn’t think he got the first call. When the personal grudge many Tennessee fans hold for Lane is set aside, you can clearly see him rising as an elite coach in the SEC. He’ll be a great fit at Bama, and is already familiar with their culture. He’s accepted by their fan base. Personally, I’d hate to see it, because I believe he’d be a massive success there. But…to each his own. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
With encouragement of my fellow poster, I will be predicting Nico will have 350 yards and 5 touchdowns by HALFTIME...If Nico is starting this game....I hope with every fiber of my being that he plays great...or this place will be miserable Idiot Margin hell.
Just playing well ain't gonna cut it...you guys are expecting 350 and 5...or more.
That's what I hate about all of this...the FANS....you know the lowly nobodies that are the ONLY reason these greedy ass puke players and coaches get anything at all for playing a f'n game, are the ones that getIt will have the same value to the programs that ours will. The practices and reps in a hyped game setting will mean a lot to the players who are coming back. Not overly entertaining to the viewers and the schools' fans will be upset that it happened this way.
This ish fancyyyyy!!@mrMet
Picked up one of these a couple of days ago. One of my favorites. Just think, the Vols just concluded a 5-6 record and missed a bowl game for the first time since Fulmer took over when this was bottled. Eric Ainge was a sophomore QB and Crompton was a freshman.

No, he won't likely be the first call. They'll shoot for the moon initially. But as another poster said, following Saban won't be particularly enticing for the upper echelon of college coaches. So while Kiffin won't probably be the first call, he might be the first one to say yes because he has just the right blend of arrogance and ability to agree to it. And he'd do well there. Just not Saban well.I’m not quite so sure that he’s universally accepted. I have a Bama friend who follows it closely who said he got lazy in recruiting before leaving Bama. If Nico doesn’t win a Heisman and a NC, this board will absolutely crash and burn.![]()
No pressure…….
If he just plays good football everyone should be happy. He might not finish in the top 5 all time Tennessee Quarterbacks. But he still could win 9-10 games a season. Do people really have that high of expectations for him?
