Guess I don’t get why that’s such a big deal. He’s a backup QB.

If he was the starter for a playoff team then ok, I see the Manning angle. He’s currently a nobody. He’s not even gonna be the starter next year.

I don’t know if any have extra years, but 17 of 22 starters on their current depth chart are seniors or redshirt seniors. They return Dart and Judkins, which are who most people know.

James Franklin has never beaten an SEC team in a bowl game at Penn State. This is the 4th, and he lost to 3 different teams. It’s always a good matchup for the SEC.

I looked up OM’s depth chart yesterday, and they will lose a lot.

I'm highly skeptical as long as conferences are separate entities. The members of said conferences wouldn't vote for it.

More reason why leadership via conferences should die off. Not a good concept for the good of the sport. Which is why it doesn't even exist in pro sports.

I don't like it, but there are already talks going on.

Agree that schools would have to leave their conferences, but for enough money...........we already know they will.

All true points that dont matter when it comes to a Manning in college football. I agree with you, just answering your question about why he gets so much attention.

2-3 starters makes it seem random and not a big deal. Saying the 2 best players, including the starting QB, paints a more accurate picture.

In fairness, we too were without our Biletnikoff winner and future NFL draft pick QB last year and handled a more talented team with ease.

The only thing it proves to me that Heupel is a better coach than Day.
