I always thought Carl Pickens was one of the best football players at Tennessee. I remember him and Chuck Webb sharing MVP honors for our Cotton Bowl win over Arkansas on January 1, 1990. 31-27.. Pickens had 2 interceptions as a Safety for us in that game, and Webb ran wild that day, like more than 200 yards. It amazed me that Pickens played safety in that game, and shared MVP honors.

Webb ran for 250 didn't he?. No idea Pick got co honors

My husband does that. Drives me crazy the older I get and have to stop and think has he rounded up to what he will be this year before I subtract my two years. That’s too much math.

Families need to keep receipts from former Bama signees. Taulia Tagovailoa was class of 2019, and Saban got him into FIVE games…preventing a redshirt. Now he has to petition for a sixth season. Par for the course for the Revered Geezer.
Sad….,and not so sad. The FAMILY experience with his brother and why not go for a twofer in their thinking? I’m glad I’m ordinary.

Tee had the same big flaw Joe does...he did not process quickly at all. This offense may be "simple" but it is not "easy"..the QB HAS to quickly process and see the open play before it happens...and neither of those guys could do it well. I don't understand how people do not understand that about this offense.

Also..he was not accurate..and don't bring up that consecutive completion crap...that was the most ironic record in CFB. Tee was not a bad QB...but he wasn't elite either.
He was a game manager, pure and simple. He had all the pieces around him.

Why was their thinking geared towards wasting eligible seasons? Two of the games that season, (Duke and I forget the other) he went in for two SNAPS. This after he had put Jalen Hurts in enough games to cost him one knowing he was departing after the season. Ended up needing him to win the SEC Championship game, but enough finessing and Hurts has the option of following up his one season at Oklahoma…and maybe wins the Heisman instead of Kyler Murray. Bottom line, he doesn’t have his players best interests at heart and goes the polar opposite if he thinks they’re leaving him.

Wonder if he’s done that at positions other than QB?

I want Peak Heup offensive explosion.

And I want it paired with ‘97-‘01 level Vol Defenders.

This is what I want.
Alright I’m bored. If you could select a starting 11 Defense from the ‘97-‘01 Vols rosters, who you taking?

DE - Leonard Little
DT - John Henderson
DT - Albert Haynesworth
DE - Shaun Ellis

LB - Raynoch Thompson
LB - Al Wilson
LB - Kevin Burnett

DB - Dwayne Goodrich
DB - Deon Grant
DB - Andre Lott
DB - Terry Fair

Of course! Kamara had to go Juco and Saban invented character issues to sabotage him…no way he would’ve signed to release him in a traditional transfer. And Brandon Kennedy was famously delayed transferring to us and gaining instant eligibility because of his whining…which inspired new rules. Always the victim.

Like 298 yards that day.

I really don’t know and don’t pretend to. I remember when lil bro committed to Bama and thought it was a forgone conclusion and a package because of how close the family was reported to be. We don’t always know what is promised and pumped up in closed door negotiations. Look at the speculation about him transferring to the state of Florida, who knows if true, but wouldn’t shock me.

I don't "love him"...outside of SpringBok I don't remember ANYBODY else here that does...

You know good and damn well that is not what 99% of us have said.

I will say this, and I doubt you will disagree...I sure as heck hope you are wrong as hell.
Then you obviously haven't been introduced to @FollowTheLeader
