I work for Spectrum (Finance) and this is common industry wide no matter who you’re with… DTV/Uverse, Spectrum, Cox, Comcast, etc… all are phasing out set top box’s and going to their own streaming platforms.Has anyone swapped their cable box out for the streaming boxes providers are pushing? Comcast, Charter, and others are pushing Xumo streaming boxes and actively phasing cable boxes out. Right now some are incentivizing you to switch by raising the price on cable boxes and lowering them on Xumo boxes. My step-dad is asking about switching and I told him it would happen either now or later but eventually it will happen. He's on board with switching to save money but I didn't know if anyone had experience with doing so. I know I'll be the one setting them up and keeping them running. So any advice would be helpful.
I am trying to remember who we have had in past few decades that could out up 35+ on any night..maybe Grant, Alan Houston, maybe Lofton.
You're not wrong. I told a friend, whenever they're on, they may be the best team in the country...they're that good, that dominate, they click on ALL cylinders; but, whenever they are off, not only is the shooting dreadful, EVERYTHING is...the shooting, the defense, the effort...too many dumb shots, plays, and turnovers. Whenever they have their moments of bad, they really are hard to watch...it's awful. Shooting droughts usually are like 2 for the last 10 or 12, or 4 for the last 15 or 17, or the like...our shooting droughts are can't hit the ocean, for forever.Did I write that? It is very hard to watch the periods of no D with guys who are not great getting to the rim with ease. Turn the ball over and over again. It is very hard to watch them play especially with JJJ and Gainey out there. The last two games, too many guys not getting to 50 50 balls and being out hustle is HARD TO WATCH. I never said anything about going back to the days we were a .500 team or to get rid of Barnes. YOU wrote that. I have seen and coached a lot of basketball and Rick would tell you that crap is hard to watch and if you don't think he feels that way about these guys sometimes, then you know nothing about the game or good coaching. We have a good coach and he was pissed at MSU and today. No reason this Georgia team should be able to stay on the floor with us and we have to play better to get a top seed. We also have a ton more talent than those poor teams of the past and that is why this can be so hard to watch. They have too much talent to play so poorly at stretches. Even Dalton got yanked cause he would not do the dirty work and block out and scored two but gave up 2. MUST DEMAND PERFECTION TO OBTAIN EXCELLENCE. To compare them to those prior teams that were .500 is a strawman argument and has absolutely nothing to do with the present. Do better posting because this post by you was lazy like the team is at times and you are also better than that.
I get that. I’ve officiated and coached over the years. The college product is just very inconsistent. If you would like to send me individual plays then i can try to break them down for you…. My comment was a more general statement about UT basketball and worrying about what we can control…. If the Vols want more foul calls then they have to take it hard to the basket.
