He was at CMU earlier in his career and he clearly fits north better than south. I would also think ND shares far more in common with Michigan than LSU. I could easily see him bolt just to escape the culture that gave the world Ed Orgeron.

Was HC at Grand Valley State in Michigan also before going to CMU..

The guy left ND because he found LSU an easier path to winning the natty. He’s not bolting for Michigan when 2/3 of the natty winning team is leaving for the NFL or will transfer once Harbaugh leaves town.
