I think it's been known all year that he was leaving. Four different investigations. CFP and the NCAA both shilled for him. The former by refusing to rule; and the latter by intentionally dragging their feet to give him time to participate in the playoff and then hop scot-free to the NFL. Preferred program status. He damaged the integrity of the playoffs two years running. It was a farce that the B1G jumped in with a ridiculously light penalty as a pretense to cover for the NCAA covering for Harbaugh.Woof, the Chargers?
Sanctions must be coming fast
The way they had him act an interim game-day head coach on 8 Saturdays to make a S A W T inequitable pretend "penalty" for Harbaugh, it runs the risk of appearing to be an insult for them to turn anywhere else. At the least, I would bet he gets an "interim" gig. I'll think they'll simply name him as head coach. He done a good job while Harbaugh was suspended.
Players seemed to like him, don't see this as a Bama situation some players go pro but believe he keeps most of underclassmen..
