There is no bigger Heupel fan than me. I agree he has done less with more. I am simply saying that the one coach that seems to consistently negate the advantage Heupel brings is Kirby. He does so disproportionate to the talent gap. I say that because look at how close Mizzou played them the last two years. I would not take Drink over Huepel, but ignoring that Kirby is arguably the best coach and recruiter in the sport right now is naive. I try to give everyone credit where it is due.
As far as my Richt comment I am merely saying that I think the next 2 years with Nico Huepel should make it to the playoffs if he is our Saban or whatever. I am fine if he wins 10 every year for the next several. I just never want to suck again.
