It’s a 1931 Ford Model A sedan. Took it out for a drive a couple weeks ago and it stalled coming to a stop and then the starter wouldn’t turn over. A helpful neighbor used his truck to pull me back to my house. Long story short, the battery is 8V but like most Model A’s it has a 6V alternator so it wasn’t getting any charge when the car was running. Changed to a new 6V battery, changed the cables (the battery is positive ground as opposed to modern cars which are all negative ground), and added a new cable between the positive grounding point and the transmission to give the starter some extra juice. It started right up and went around the neighborhood without stalling or other problems, so fingers crossed!
