I was not impressed with Deer Valley or Park City, although both were really low on snow when we were there. My favorite ski destination is Whistler, followed by Steamboat, and then Beaver Creek.
Yup, any time you don’t get enough snow, it’s disappointing.
Never been to Whistler. Isn’t it mostly more difficult terrain? I’m mostly a blue level skier. The right black level run is fun.
Just got back from Big Sky after skiing Breckenridge in January. My buddy went both places. His opinion was that many of the greens at Big Sky would have been blues in Breck. I skied some blues in Big Sky that would be rated blacks elsewhere. Big Sky has triple black diamond runs…can’t even imagine how quickly that would kill me 😳

All you rich people and your luxurious vacations. Must be nice.
@Weezer don’t begrudge an older Volunteer some enjoyment in life.

I spent many many years in deep debt to achieve my dream of becoming a physician. My wife and I paid off all our student loans while living on a very strict budget. My student loans covered med school, but my Mom took out a home equity loan so that I could eat and have a place to stay. We paid that off first and foremost! 3rd and 4th year of med school, my food budget was $20 per week. Thankfully, most of the hospitals would feed the students at least once per day.

I know that you are joking.
Hardship definitely makes me appreciate how lucky I am. 😊

Been a long day. Tractor work in front of the horse stalls and run ins to shed water better. Hung a few gates for our old blind horse's new paddock.............

Then got a call from my mother. Her old dog wasn't doing so good so I drove the hour plus to Nashville to get her and take him to the vet. Heart failure with extensive fluid around the lungs. After 15 years of being a good companion she decided to let him slip away peacefully. I'm the worst person she could have there for strong support. I cried like a little girl..

Say a little prayer for my mother and her good boy Jakey!

Now I'm going to have a few stiff drinks and knock back a few beers while watching the game replay........

Goodnight all!
🙏

Happy Sunday.

February 25, 2024: Beware of wolves clothed as sheep, those who pretend to be your friend, but will undermine and betray you. Keep your eyes wide open and your senses sharp. Lean on Me instead of putting your trust in those who are not worthy of trust, says the Lord. I will never lead you astray. Matthew 7:15-17 Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit.

Last 4 games of regular season.

Auburn at home.
Bruce Pearl is always a tough out but with Jayden Williams injured should help, plus home court for Big Orange. Give me the Vols by 8-10 points.

Alabama on road.
This should be a scoring fest Alabama has a good offense but ZERO defense.
Vols shut them down in Knoxville but at Tuscaloosa will be somewhat closer. Give Vols by 4-6 points.

South Carolina on Road.
Payback game for Vols on road. This one will be a defensive battle but like I stated earlier Tennessee was looking ahead to Kentucky. Don't believe it happens again
Give me Vols by 8-10 points

Kentucky at home.
Senior Day, chance to wrap up SEC regular season title. The Deacon and these Seniors aren't going let Kentucky spoil their day, plus once again Kentucky has no defense.
Give me Vols by 20

Yes I'm predicting 4-0 and SEC Regular season Championship which should guarantee a #1 Sed in NCAA tournament..
