We have indeed played in it but we lost to USC. We were undefeated and unscored until the bowl that season.
According to everything I've ever seen written about that time...General Neyland literally did not give a crap about that game and take it seriously...bowls were truly just exhibitions to him.

It's so blatant what the NCAA is doing. Everyone sees it. And they don't care.

And the President of the University of Georgia is overseeing all of this as NCAA Chair.
Payback will happen for some very bad dawgs in every sport this year. I expect run rules, blowouts of epic proportions!

😡

Salary also, should definitely make more than that bum in Nashville..

Tim somebody..
He's not going to make more than Corbin unless he starts winning multiple titles. He's the 4th highest paid coach in the country. Bianco and Corbin have national titles a d Schlossnagle has 6 CWS appearances.

I believe Tony will get there, but I think he's appropriately paid. And the good news is he's getting all the resources he needs and wants. We're building a castle around him.

Splendid!

I do have to correct myself, however. Linda Livingston, the President of Baylor, replaced the UGA President as Chair. But the UGA President is still there, "representing" us and our conference on the Board. Sorry for my slip up.

The NCAA and P5 conferences are said to have spent more than $5,250,000 in the past two years on lobbying Washington, and spending is rising this year.

I'm trying to figure out how they do that. Do they spend money and in-kind payments on government officials before the officials commit to their bill? Do they wait until the officials' votes are officially enrolled before they discuss any possible benefits to the government officials? I mean, are there inducements involved?

I hope they don't buy them lavish dinners; that might be worse than leaving a cookie or balloon in their hotel room.

I would also like to know whether the NCAA discussed money, perks, and benefits with their President Charlie Baker when they were recruiting him. Or whether Baker signed his contract first -- and after that was informed what his deal would be.

I have no problem with Tony making 2 million a year just because….. He does coach the Vols.

Still up awaiting the discharge of our dog, Q. Wife and he got attacked during their walk while I was at work and he got three nasty lacerations. Going to be a fun conversation with the other dog’s owners tomorrow. Misspelled NEGOTIATION! 😡
That’s horrible news. I hope they are both okay.🙏

That’s a one strike violation in my opinion. Hopefully the owner is taking care of everything. If not then be careful with witnesses. 😡

My goddness Edey has run away with PoTY. 96% according to betting sites and one of them even took down the market.

DK tied for 2nd with RJ Davis.

No shame here, Edey is putting up all-time stats. Only Sampson and Walton have gone B2B (both went B2B2B). Of them, only Walton clearly exceeds him. His stats at UCLA were BONKERS 😳
