I don’t understand how anyone can feel ok about the win today. We’ve regressed back to bajakian play calling for the offense. It’s screen, run, home run throw in any order. We put up numbers because we outclassed that team by talent alone and they knew it coming into the game. They hit us in the mouth a bit and Joe Milton goes from 12/14 to 18/31 without a completion for over 13 mins of game time. The lack of confidence in our offenses execution has got to be obvious by now, right? The offensive line isn’t helping anyone right now. The defense is bad against athletes of even similar competition. DBs are a huge liability and Willie Martinez being a problem is not a new thing for us. I don’t think anyone is saying forfeit the season. But, to say that the deficiencies and uncharacteristic issues in execution, esp after being hit in the mouth, are not glaring would be criminal. There’s no creativity in this offense right now and we all know that isn’t Heup’s style. Anyone that is confident about this team heading into any SEC game at this point is either blind or kidding themselves. Idk what the problem is, but it’s not because Heup forgot how to coordinate an offense. Sampson not being utilized is criminal. Today should have been a glorified scrimmage for us to get our back ups some much needed experience but we refused to take advantage of that. I’m a huge fan of Josh Heupel but I think he has a LOT to learn about team management.
