Yea it’s a little ridiculous. He’s thrown 18 uncatchable passes so for (4.5 a game) Hooker threw 53 last year (4.8 a game) I’m not saying Milton is as accurate or as good as Hooker, he’s not. But the people acting like he’s missing every throw is just wrongOur fanbase is acting insane about Joe Milton and the football team. It's a little embarrassing.
Instagram, Twitter and the FF. Yikes.
Being the guy after the “guy” is almost always a raw deal. Like the QB after Tebow… that I can’t even remember his name.Yea it’s a little ridiculous. Joe really struggles in 3rd and 4 or longer…. he sucked at it since he has been on the hill. He also struggles to drive us with less than a minute on the clock like Hooker did so often.I believe the biggest problem with our offense is 3rd down efficiency...and it's not going to be an easy fix.
I haven't done a chattanoogavol type breakdown of all the 3rd down plays so far this year, but the problem is that there is no one big reason for the crappy 3rd down efficiency...some failed plays have been bad play calls, some have been bad passes, some are drops on good passes, some are bad blocking, some are down and distance issues because of pre-snap penalties getting us way behind schedule...all those things are our fault.
The others are just good defense being played, and some are crooked cheating officials screwing us completely over..
It would be an easy fix if it was just a couple of things...but it isn't..it is a multitude of different things....like Murphys Law running wild.
It is a daunting problem for sure.
