Teacher told me that they didn’t want to hear the complaining about not letting them see the eclipse if they didn’t take them out, or the complaining about it hurting someone’s eyes if they didn’t stop them from raising their glasses if they did.
Here we took the whole A-school and tied them to stakes with their heads facing the sun and taped their eyes open.

They're showing the eclipse on CBS from Mexico, Tejas, Arkansas, ect. I think I'll just DVR it and go play Red Dead. 🙄
Laughing looking at local DFW coverage and wondering what their comments in the meeting sending the reps to the LUXURY MEXICAN RESORT constituted. 😅

From doing research on Kim's coaching.
1. Presses the entire game on misses and makes from her on team. Outcome is more possessions and shots per game over their opponents. One game they had 50 shots more that the other team. It doesn't matter what your shooting percentage is if you get 50 more shots.
2. Offensive rebounding is a must. Outcome again is to get more possessions and more shots than your opponents.
3. Shoot a lot of 3 pointers. High octane offense that scores a lot of points. Just keep shooting if they are not falling because they will eventually.
4. Subs a lot to keep people fresh on the floor to press.
5. Doesn't like to call timeouts. Wants to wear the other team down.
6. Wants her teams to be in better physical condition than the other team. Again, to wear the other team down.
7. Blocking out on defense. If you don't block out, she doesn't care if you are the best player on the floor you are coming out of the game.
8. Her philosophy for coaching is to coach them hard. She tells the girls to "hate me now, but love me later". Hold them to a high standard and if that standard is not met in practice, then they have to get on the line. In other words, she will make them run sprints.

Immediate concerns:
1. Do we have the athletes to do this? She will have to recruit and pull portal players to do this style.
2. Can we get bigs to do this style and play bigs from other teams on defense. See Iowa against South Carolina's bigs yesterday.
3. Will this hold up in the SEC and D1 to get you at a championship level. If not, will she be willing to change a little to get the best results long term.

Conclusion: I think she can be a success here and win a lot of games and beat a lot of teams, but can you beat the elite teams. We shall see, but her resume is amazing. I'll be rooting for her and the team and hope she can bring them back to prominence.
Sounds very Josh Heupelesque.

it might be a non-factor or could possibly help with more players involved. The good players usually average over 30 plus minutes.

South Carolina didn't have any players averaging 30 minutes, but then LSU has all their starters over 30... just depends on style of play and depth.

The good news is playing time will be a bit easier to pitch to HS players since Caldwell had 13 players appear in at least 16 games for her and 12 that averaged 11 or more MPG.

Sounds like nate oats offense and Bruce pearl defense. I like the personality, let the work you put in define you.

Can she get the premier recruits and tweak her strategy to maximize their talents? Big time talent not going to buy into this just to win, unless it benefits and furthers their skills. A team with dominant bigs will turn the game into a slow brawl in the paint. That potentially puts a ceiling on the team if they don’t have the talent to match up. Hopefully she can recruit and success not just a product of the system against the talent level.

It’s reminiscent of Baylor’s men in their NC season…and Dean Smith’s style in the 90’s.

That sucks, we had clear skies. Was really cool.
We had a perfect day for the 2017 one. It's just been a few glimpses today. Either way, I've been blessed both times to not be working or tied up with something. I do hate I spent an hour last night looking for our old eclipse glasses.

(My wife had a tooth extracted this morning. So I've been drinking coffee and staring at the clouds. Pretty good day, if I do say so myself.)
