They were both cray cray.
I am sad a bit because I loved Awaka, too, but what you say is right. And it really is a thing that his family has not been able to see him play and he wants to be closer to home, that he was in a difficult spot with respect to playing time and someone was likely going to go somewhere, that no one can completely fault him for wanting one good check before he ends his career because he's not playing NBA ball, and no one doubts that he gave his all while he was here. From someone that loved Awaka, looking solely from a business perspective, he'll be easy to replace in the portal. I hate to see him go and enjoyed his time here but it's really not a big loss of production.
I thought the same thing. Either warned her about him or the question. She was ready. So I watched the press conference and now this, I swear I think someone warned her about him. I mean you’re a brand new HC and someone who you most likely have never heard of but you recognize the newspaper asks you a question, you don’t shut them down like that unless you’ve been given some information ahead of time. I love this and I love her answer!
This. Excellent point.I loved how she answered the question, but was confident enough to just hush when she did. She didn’t talk in circles and try to impress anyone with her words.
It’s a series based sport out of necessity. Baseball is flukey and any team can beat any other on a given night. If they did the CWS the way they did March madness, some truly unthinkable teams would end up winning it sometimes lol. I get it’s not for everybodyGame(s) is the point. Dozens of them in combination, sure. Just rarely any single game. Hell, you go to play someone and get 3 attempts lol.
As opposed to football where you can't lose more than 1 (if even 1 with divisions) and basketball where 4 or 5 losses is pushing it and the finish to the reg season is thrilling for the SEC title where every game is crucial. We already have 5 losses and could still easily win the league...
Same as MLB. So many games, it's not must-watch tv. Though I do love watching them play. Vandy...Arky...LSU...I'll tune in for 1 or 2 of the 3 games. But not dedicating friday nights and saturdays like it's a saturday in the fall or winter in bb playing our rivals. It's still college baseball/softball, not a big 3.
