I've seen so many draft people describe Joe Milton as having "prototypical" NFL arm strength. And then you've got people saying he should make the move to tight end.

Joe has top 5 NFL arm strength right now... today. He's not a tight end. I don't personally see him putting it all together to be an NFL QB but it has been weird to see people gloss over his freakish arm talent while pushing AR all the way up the draft boards last year.
Joe is not nearly physical enough to play TE. I can’t imagine him trying to block.

Baseball people: what is it that Elander/Vitello doing that has made us so good at hitting and hitting homers? Is it the coaching? Is it just letting the guys play loose and swing? Or have we just stacked the roster with natural-born excellent hitters?
Listened to an interview with TV the other day and he made a comment that he’s having to tell some of the guys to stop taking so many swings when practicing on their own/in between games. These kids are grinders and put in the time

I've had offers to go back. If I wasn't married I would be in Idaho, Eastern Washington, Montana or New Zealand. My wife, unfortunately, listens to the siren-song of Alabama.

Her parents are old though. She's been open to the idea of doing something when they're gone.
Same but swap Eastern Washington with Western.

Least insane arkansas fan

That tweet made me just search vitello’s name on Twitter just to see what is being said.

Perception of Tennessee baseball as a program is still that of having bottom tier facilities and resources. I’ve seen Miss St, Ole Miss and ironically Arkansas fans (when DVH retires) clamoring to hire him.

Miss St fans can’t fathom him saying no, the only fans that say no is simply because they don’t want him due to his antics.

Ole Miss fans are split. Some say he’ll never leave Tennessee, others say he’s waiting for the “big SEC job” like them to get out.

Arkansas fans are utterly convinced he’s waiting to take the Arkansas job when DVH retires. Essentially believing he’s a HC in waiting there while coaching another program.

I also posted this in the baseball forum but I think it’s funny enough to share here too. I famously thought LSU could lure him away in 2021, but now that he’s essentially gotten a blank check to do whatever he wants here, while simultaneously being a king in Knoxville with an established top 10 program.. I see no reason why he’d ever leave.

Not to mention he doesn’t have an agent. Unusual in this day and age, but true. Guys who don’t have agents typically have no plans on relocating any time soon.

S&C is a big deal at UT in all sports. Voltello stresses it. The guys they recruit are talented, but also have the grinder mentalities that want to beat you no matter what. So their stamina is off the charts good. Add in Elander getting in their heads on the right approaches to hitting.

The adjustments during the game are fun to watch. When we are on, nobody is better. Knowing what the pitchers are trying to do and how to counter at the plate make our guys elite in the game. Because of our power, we go the other way with outside pitches and still do damage wherever we play. The past two games against Mizzou we were fatigued and dropping back shoulders slicing under ball - a lot of foul and fly balls as a result. The coaching staff knows how to fix it, with rest being at the top of the list.
