I didn't call you that. Don't put words in my mouth.You're right I'm a troll that doesn't know ****...
Koufax was much more impressive in his 6 seasons of dominance than Kershaw ever was.
If you want a full career - Randy & Pedro both blow his doors off.
To each their own…
Kershaw wouldn’t make my Top 10, he might be in the Top 20.
Alabama lost to Southern Miss, South Alabama, and UAB. Vandy needed extra innings to beat TTU 11-10, and squeaked by UTM 5-4. Ole Miss lost twice to Hawaii, Arkansas State at home, High Point at home, and Memphis. LSU lost to Stony Brook at home and Southern at home.Kentucky has a midweek loss to Samford.
Epogen came out in the mid 80s, but still too late for Secretariat. Not trying to argue, just trying to help yall understand how special that horse was. If it was steroids that caused him to be so elite and destroy that field, he would have done it at the Derby and Preakness. However, as the length of the races got longer, he won by more. Then the Belmont comes and is the longest race of the 3, on top of being the last leg in a very short time period for 3 races to occur against the top competition. Thoroughbreds aren’t made to race that frequently against the best of the best. It’s why it is so hard to win all 3. You have to legit be the best of the best to overcome increasing distances and fatigue. When other horses got tired with each race, Secretriat got stronger. Complete athletic freak…speed and endurance combined into 1 horse!! The only illegal substance that could have helped him do that would be if they were shooting horses up with Epogen (synthetic erythropoietin), which caused them to produce more red blood cells which carry more oxygen, which allows them to not fatigue as fast. I’m not sure that was around in the 70s. It was in the early 2000s, and maybe 90s.
I hate what the "sport" has become, but appreciate the athleticism of these noble beasts. My daughter loves horses, she started researching and turned me onto it. The race horse circuit is a meat grinder, almost literally, they kill many horses working then out and pushing their limits...... You'd be amazed how many of these horses are disappeared. They are doping horses to the verge of their hearts exploding and beyond. "Milkshakes" are given to almost all of the contenders. Vets, Owners, Managers and trainers are all on the take and obstructing as best they can the public from finding out what they're doing.Visited Secretariat's grave at Claiborne Farms in Lexington a few years ago. Don't follow horse racing, but this was a magnificent creature.
