Yeah, Glock is what it is. Reliable and well known with a massive after market but they haven't really innovated in a while. Other brands like S&W, Sig, and even Springfield have put stuff out that passes Glock by imo.my only issue with Glock is that they haven't changed anything about the 19 to make it truly better since gen 3(1998). The patents expired any all these other manufacturers are making almost identical pistols have better triggers and sights. Flip side is every after market company out there makes sights, holsters, triggers, and magazines for Glocks. I also have the Palmetto State Dagger. It is a Glock 19 clone that costs about half what a 19 does and comes in different colors. Shoots the same as my 19 honestly and you can use the saved cash to buy a better trigger, sights, or most importantly ammo.
Why? Not why are you blaming those.I'm blaming these things

19 is as reliable as they come. This is a great time for 9mm handguns. There are very few that are unreliable. I've got a Taurus G2c I've put through 5 classes (5,000 rounds) without a single malfunction. I've put 11,000 rounds through that pistol and I've literally never had a stoppage that wasn't intentionally manipulated. Taurus had just about the worst reputation possible for years but they've figured out how to not reinvent the wheel. Glock is what it is. A proven piece of hardware that does its job. The good news for firearms enthusiasts is that most companies have figured it out as well. I say have fun with the process and try as many as possible. You might find surprise along the way.9mm recommendations….
Considering either a Glock 19 or a Sig p320.
