I'm not a police hater, but there are definitely some bad eggs. I've only had a few interactions with police, but the ones I've had, they always led with belligerence. I definitely had to fight the impulse to clap back at them, which just shouldn't be the case if nobody has done anything wrong yet. Reminded me of high school bullies, only you go to jail if you stand up to them.

But when you pay them pennies, you get what you pay for.

Yep. Considering how many in our culture view police today, the risks, the hours, the level of pay and lack of respect, etc. one would have to assume the quality of candidate the academy draws these days isn't what you'd consider top shelf. Doesn't excuse the behavior, but it does seem like a plausible explanation for it.

But I had to holler BULLSH... on his LSU eval. I think he gave them a 9? Nussmeier is serviceable, but has been at LSU long enough to get beaten out for starting job by more than one other QB. Swann? Yeah, he has been a backup in the SEC before and has reps under his belt; but ... failed to win starting job ... at Vandy. Ricky Collins? Has shown nothing yet at LSU. Then Pate gives them special mention for their 2025 qb recruit commit (but did not same for our GMac). Also Pate said LSU's running game will surely be better ... because they won't have Daniels contributing his share of those yds ... HUNH?

P.S. Though he spoke highly of Nico, he seems to know nothing about Gaston and Merklinger.
