This team is loaded from top to bottom. Tony has recruited very well, and it will show up in our draft picks. Our young guys are just waiting their turn and if portal guys come in some of our young talent will just move on if they can't see the field. Personally, I would like to see portal guys come in when injuries keep guys out for a long stretch of time.Actually after this season Tennessee loses top 5 hitters in lineup to draft and Beam, Zander, Combs, Kirby and Stamos are gone.
Going have to hit portal hard and hope young guys develop quickly.
Cliffnotes from the article because I'm seeing a lot of questions:
The long and the short of it is that something like this should have cost Napier his job pre us slaying the NCAA:
Outside of NCAA-related punishments, I do think he is in legal trouble. All those Florida guys are. They completely screwed this up. No coach should have been anywhere near all of that in the early days.
I believe that the result is a mound of negative recruiting for all of Florida's rivals. It will probably cost them more high profile recruits and negative pub than if the NCAA could (would) actually do something.
While that might have been a consideration, but calling Napier a victim? Come on. He was complicit and knew everything.Florida boosters were trying to sabotage Napier imo. Some wanted him out as soon as he arrived and especially after that first season. Otherwise they would have paid Rashada. Napier being named in the suit is ironic because he’s the real victim. Rashada got paid elsewhere and once again transferring to UGA and boosters that wanted to undermine Napier absolutely did so.
He certainly didn't get the 13M he was promised, nor the 9M that he turned down. And unless I'm missing something, I don't think he got much of anything from Arizona State.Florida boosters were trying to sabotage Napier imo.
