1st things first: Go freaking Vols.

2nd: It's just disgusting to make a claim like that above, especially if there's no proof that's what happened. People run with it and there's very likely no way to disprove it. If there's evidence of it then you deal with that then.

It wouldn't be right if it was the other way around. It hasn't been right when opposing fanbases and commentators have made unsubstantiated claimed about Tennessee players in the past being in trouble, saying stuff on the field, etc. Then people spread that and share it as fact and it slanders our guys.

I'm also a Miss State alum. I've got a lot of great memories and friends in Starkville. I'm not going to let that fly without saying something.

Bunch of competitive young men chirping at each other and testosterone takes over. It happens in sports all the time without there having to be a dang racial slur said. That's absurd.
Lost me at MSU alum.... Ewwww

LVs win.

BaseVols win.

Chaz Lanier commits.

Great win by Vols over MSU.

I understand individuals say these games don't matter and they don't in grand scheme of things. Though these young men just proved damnit winning is what they want to do.

Go win this SEC Tournament this weekend.
beat a team called Vandy Boys. that is so freaking gay

Italian slurs wouldn't make a ton of sense either because a good portion of MS was settled by Italian sharecroppers. A ton of Italian town names in MS and Italian heritage is well-represented in Starkville.

Fine Italian Dining in Starkville is opening a can of Spaghetti O’s

What the crap was that all about?
putting the pieces together, State dugout was chirping, as they would. They just tied the game and got our star pitcher sent to the dugout. They're amped. Their coach probably should've kept his guys in check and stopped that.

Tony didn't like it, as he shouldn't, and addressed it with the ump. We know the ump was going over to the State dugout to give them a warning when this all happened.

Tony started jawing back at the State dugout. Probably shouldn't have. He should be the adult, but he's also a fiery guy and that's why we love him.

The State coach (I think it was the assistant not Lemonis) took issue with that and that's why he charged out there. As he should, an opposing coach shouldn't be talking to another player.

I think CMo just saw the State players jumping the wall and was ready to tussle about it and defend his boys. I don't think he saw the coach. Burke wanted everyone to chill. Cal Stark went chest to chest with the State coach. And Tony just casually stayed behind and yelled at the other coach.

Two passionate groups of guys not backing down and playing on the edge. At some level you got to love that. I'm glad it didn't escalate beyond that and I also see why both teams got fired up.
