That is not how flags work. If there is a foul, you throw the flag. If the other team wants to decline, they decline but you have to throw the flag.

As another poster said, what if there had been a review and what the ref thought was a catch, was not a catch. Then, we get the double hose job. Throw the damned flag.

Against Austin Peay & UTSA too? 🤔

Bama has and will always get SEC favoritism that’s well established. I’m talking about the newest issues we’re facing.
52-49 has it's consequences.

It doesn't matter.

Pay attention to who's calling the games, which official is throwing the flag, and what's going on with the replay booth/spot of the ball.

This guy called the Austin Peay game..... (I saw where his brother is a huge Alabama fan)Screenshot_20230909_184506_DuckDuckGo.jpg20230909_184145.jpg

The Birmingham based SEC conference has enough money to hire full time officials. They don't want to. They want to hire their cousins to officiate games and handle the instant replay.

Get the SEC office/ replay booth out of Birmingham. It's full of Bama alumni. Look had what happened to us when we hired a Gump and had an athletic department full of Bama alumni. They were trying to get us on probation/ death penalty. Alabama hates TENNESSEE. Why do some on VN not see that?

If folks on VN understood the hate, they'd also understand why some of us will always love Fulmer. But they don't and so we have our own fans picking up the very arguments our rivals use against us. People don't want to know. They want to dig in on a point regardless of the background or context.

There are a ton of BAMA fans that truly don't care but there are ton more that hate us with a passion that we don't have for any team. No one hates like the good people of Alabama. They kill each other for not being upset enough at losses. That's something we don't do.

I honestly think the ref knew not to throw the flag once the ball was caught. He was just waiting on the catch (we would've declined so..). He'd have thrown it if Squirrel hadn't caught it. And watching at home I was screaming for the flag - I had no clue he caught it at first.
It. does. not. matter. You. throw. the. damned. flag. if. there. is. a. foul. Period.

I'm not saying he shouldn't have. I was screaming for one. But ref was focused on the catch only. As I clarified prior, I think he'd have thrown it had it been an issue or an offsetting thing. He just got lazy once it was called a catch.

Even Hubbs on the VQ mini pod said TN Dline was held all game and only got 2 holding calls. Refs are atrocious in every conference
It was infuriating...why do the refs, no matter who they are, let the teams we play continously get away with egregious both offensive holding and defensive holding?

You literally see our guys upper bodies get completely jerked around, sometimes 180°, on every pass play...right in front of officials...with no call.

I actually think officials just hate us because we run tempo offense & they hate having to move quickly to do their job.

So still officiating bias, but less about who we are and more about what we do.
What about before we hired Heupel?

How do you explain the hate/bias through the years before CJH?
