Yes, we had an attic fan growing up.

My air conditioner broke yesterday. Can't get the part til in the morning. It's not too bad. At least it's only a day or two and not the middle of August, .

We didn't have an a/c as a kid for a while, can't remember how long. I don't remember it being really bad though. I guess cause we played outside in the creek and water hose all day.

Yeah it wasn't that bad at all, like you said, we played outside all the time and was always catching crawdads and playing in the creek. Loved visiting my mammaw in Cleveland because mouse creek ran thru her backyard and I caught some huge crawdads in that creek.
