To answer the question of why teams use metal bats it is cost and sponsorship. Metal bats can go a long time and there are many manufacturers. Wood bats there is really only one manufacturer and they don't last as long.

Actually, Louisville Slugger is being pressed by Marucci when it comes to wood bats. SAM Bats is a distant third as they only produce maple bats and not ash bats.

True as to wood bats not lasting as long. On average, a MLB player orders 120 bats per year.

Metal bats will lose their pop over time with usage. Since MLB does not use metal bats, no comps exist for the number of bats a MLB player would need/order.

I don’t necessarily agree with this opinion but I respect it bc it was given after a great performance…. I don’t think he has been as effective as in years past but he has saved our rears a few times as well.

Fair! He’s hittable that’s it and it will cost us at some point..he’s not great like everyone makes him out to be. being a curveball pitcher your location has to be laser sharp and he struggles with location leaving pitches up in the zone that lead to HR’s or RBI’s..he’s doing enough but it’s spotty I’ve seen him get us out of innings like last night but I’ve also seen him get yanked by costing us games or a lead more times than not.it is what it is.I called it in the FSU game now everyone is trying to justify his performance lastnight against a NC team that literally got here on a walk off their bats were dead…get ready for FSU and expect them to take 1 against us.their bats are no joke

Don’t let long term scare you. Most long term facilities have therapy and care to let her body heal. Her body has been through so much trauma in such a small amount of time. Now her body needs TIME to heal slowly with trained professionals. The main thing is that she’s not needing incubation and they feel comfortable to move her. No, I’m not a trained medical professional, but have worked in long term facilities for over 20 years. Now they want to work her muscles and check her brain activity. I’m sure there’s more to it than that, our trained professionals on here will clarify. I read it as a possible good sign. We wait and see how her brain activity is, I’ll leave to the professionals on here. Please if I got any of this wrong (I’m sure I did). Forgive me.

I heard a typical American media story where the speaker claimed that Dr. Jill Biden (education) was going to be the best Surgeon General in the history of the United States. It's shameful. Also, a person with a PhD doesn't put PhD after their name on a book. Except in these new cases.
