I'm trying to remember where I saw it because both MTV and the band acknowledged the role Beavis and Butthead played. They may have sucked but they were selling until they earned the ire of the fictional characters. Once they were constantly mocked, no one wanted anything to do with them.
So Mike Judge killed Winger, but couldn’t topple Michael Bolton.

Pretty much. But when you consider Beavis and Butthead fans were far more likely to be listening to metal than Michael Bolton fans were to be watching Beavis and Butthead or Liquid Television it makes sense.

That makes me miss Aeon Flux... I had her hair do lol.

I would say there were a few Boltonites that saw Office Space.

That’s funny. I remember watching that. Cartoons used to be a lot better. I think once they stopped drawing them and went digital it started looking like ****. Plus kids cartoons are just brain rot now

In fairness, Liquid Television really wasn't for kids. It was something altogether new at the time. It had a very artsy feel to it. But you have to remember that back then, there was a space for that. Even in comics, you had Vertigo Comics which is where Sandman (Neil Gaiman), Books of Magic, Hellblazer (aka Constantine), Preacher, and Swamp Thing (Alan Moore) were starting to really mature English language comics.

Of course now Vertigo is dead because those comics were owned by the creators rather than the publishers and when DC found that out they no longer had a use for them. But the entire era was artists trying to do something different - comics, music, art, etc.

On the booing of Hadden during his introduction, I heard from someone who was at the game that South Carolina took the field at the same time and that they were all out before the Pride was even doing the pregame. No idea if that’s true since I wasn’t there, but maybe they were booing the Cocks instead of Hadden?
I’d like to think so

There was feature on how Beavis and Butthead's ire actually killed Winger. When they mocked them as the worst their popularity plummeted. It really did tank them. And because they were at the tail end of heavy metal they never really recovered.
I remember that........ Hair metal was already dead though.

Thoughts on Iron Maiden?
Love them. Early queensrÿche is just carbon copied maiden if we’re being honest. Wasted Years probably their best song. Bring your daughter to the slaughter up there too.

Nightmare on elm street produced some great metal songs with that one, and of course the all time best… dream warriors by dokken

Infinite dreams is an extremely underrated Maiden song. The entire Seventh son of Seventh album by IM is rarely brought up when discussing their best stuff.
