According to where Reds place Burns probably starts out in Rookie ball and then low A ball. If they fast track Burns he most likely ends up in Chattanooga for a while during the season. All depends on how Burns performs. Sorry too much coffee today.

Yea I don't believe Beam comes back, Tears maybe according how much his slot value is when he gets drafted.

Truthfully Baseball NIL is not as good as Football.

A guy could get drafted 80th but get paid like a guy getting drafted 50th to entice them to get the player to “their number” to entice them to sign. A team would be able to do that if they by under paying the slotted value for their earlier pick(s). Each team has a certain pool of money they can spend on draft picks that is determined by the slotted $$ value of their draft pick order.

The lowest slot value in the 3rd round is $700k+. 4th is $500k+. Nobody is getting in that in NIL for baseball.

No way would Tony chance being a distraction to his guys and their special days in the draft.

IMO - it will be at the optimal time of his and DW's choosing that helps the program and recruiting most.

This is why it's mind boggling why William Schmidt decided to attend LSU instead of draft. The kid is 1st round talent and the money that he would've got is going to trump anything LSU could offer, besides an education.

Team must’ve been trying to pay him under his slot value and it didn’t meet his number. Gotta have a lot of confidence in yourself to stick to your number but HS guys have the most leverage in the draft.

I was 8 when dad bought an Atari 5200. I've had at least 15 different game systems in the past 40 years and the 5200 controller was the worst.

Most players drafted in the first ten rounds of the MLB draft will go pro. I expect Beam and Tears will probably go in the next couple of rounds. So, I wouldn't say there's no chance, but I would say chances are incredibly thin.

You need to write a letter or Email the Braves and Titans Organizations. Explain to them why they should draft only University of Tennessee players. That it really tweaks your @$$ that they draft Kentucky and Vanderbilt University athletes.
