15. Tennessee Volunteers​

DT Bryson Eason. The Volunteers figure to have one of the better defensive lines in the SEC in 2024 with James Pearce Jr., Elijah Simmons, Omari Thomas, Omarr Norman-Lott and others coming back. One player that teammates and coaches have raved about since spring practice is senior Eason. The Memphis native arrived at UT as an oversized inside linebacker. He moved to defensive end and kept growing. Defensive line coach Rodney Garner has helped transform Eason into an interior lineman, and Eason had a career-high 27 tackles, 4 quarterback hurries and 5 tackles for loss in 13 games in 2023. Now 6-foot-3 and 303 pounds, Garner says Eason is just scratching the surface of the player he can be. He could be more than a complementary player to the Vols' more established pass-rushers. -- Schlabach

I don’t think Kiffin likes Finebaum at all. It sounded personal.

I remember when Finebaum was still working in radio and as a columnist in Alabama, he wrote a hit piece towards Lane when he took the UT job. And he also referred to him as the “boy wonder”.

This goes back way further than his USC days.

I'm sure Lane was mad about Finebaum bad mouthing him at USC at the time, but it's just a bit at this point. Off camera there is no bad blood there.

Can't imagine any 8-4 SEC, 9-3 ACC/Big 12 team getting into the CFP. Guessing that 2-3 losses in SEC would be max and 1-2 losses in ACC/Big 12 max.

Obviously depends on records, but I think the SEC will have 4 teams in annually. SEC champ winner, SEC champ loser, and 2 other teams.

Waiting for the inflammation of my pancreas to subside so the drs can perform surgery. Hopefully tomorrow……the pain is unbearable.

What kind of surgery/problem?

I don't think so. At that point, I think the selection committee will start putting in more mid-major type schools who went 11-1. I'm not saying they deserve it, but I think that is the direction they will go.
