It’s a beautiful city with lots of history. With having family here the wife and I are actually considering moving here. We love Nashville but we want family nearby and it may just be time now that we have 2 kids under 2 years old.Love that area. Lived in Charleston a while back. 1 Prices Alley, right next door to the Nathaniel Russell House. Would be in the bathroom doing bathroom stuff and watching the tourists @ the NRH, . . . I felt like cousin eddie.
Neyland Stadium most likely wins this game. 7-8 extra penalties (on a&m) would go a long way.You may be right on the stalemate, they do have a very good DLine; but, I don't think it's anywhere near a given. People talking about the OLine, and yes, they have to get better in pass protection (although they haven't been "bad" there, imo...however, we need to see improvement there going foward); never forget they're paving the way for 240 on the ground. Those that want to point to Florida...Wright and Small had almost 100 on 23 carries, a little over 4 ypc...while, yes, it's a far cry from our average, it's still not horrible...I wished we had seen Sampson in that game.
A&M is more talented than Florida on the DLine...but, Florida DLine, on THAT night...have to account for Florida being maxed to the limit as far as energy and emotion go...will A&M bring the same?
But, yes, they are very good on the front...Mays being back is absolutely massive, I underestimated how crucial he is, totally.
I've always wondered that.
And the 2 can't remotely compete. 1 has an epic feeling to it. On a hill, rurrounded by the city of Athens to one side and the bluest of blue seas off to the other. Grandiose.
The other is beside a highway and cracker barrel with some bandwagon Bama fans surely roaming nearby.
Maybe Maddux just really always sucked and nobody knew it...No quarrel with his greatness. Always put him a notch above Smoltz, but Smoltzie was an assassin in the postseason. So why’d he get a break and Maddux didn’t?
And then gave Livan Hernandez calls like this:Maybe Maddux just really always sucked and nobody knew it...
Which is absolute pure ...look all I know is he got squeezed and it was obvious, you can't make me believe he just suddenly lost control every October....the freaking umps suddenly decided to change what they called balls and strikes when he was pitching.
As far as John Smoltz goes...Smoltzie was a power pitcher, so that didn't bother him and pitchers like him as much, it was devastating to a finesse pitcher like Maddux.
And as far as answering that question, I've already said right off the bat...I have NEVER understood it.
