Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I know I talked about this yesterday, but I am going to ask again.

I have so many dear friends, including our best friends, and my daughter and son in law directly in the bullseye of this monster. If you've ever lived in the T-Bay area, this is the storm they have always been worried about.

None of them can, or will leave. My daughter is head of nursing staff at her facility, and two of our best friends are also staff, one at a Nursing home, and the other of the ICU at one of the St Pete hospitals.

We have over a hundred other dear friends in Pinellas County, many of them of advanced age...my nerves are shot...even if nobody is hurt, homes and livelihoods will be destroyed.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray that this thing weakens.

Thanks in advance...
My niece literally had a baby 3 days ago down there. My sister, BiL, niece & boyfriend/kids won't leave. I told them to wrap my niece and the baby in bubble wrap and get out. They won't. They're from E Tennessee, I don't think they understand how bad this one is. My niece has only lived there about 9 or 10 months.

Well that was a rough one, gentlemen. I couldn't stand to look at anything football related for a few days. That one hurt.

Yeah it’s funny how after a win I soak up all the pods and mini pods etc.

Haven’t listened to anything on the Vols since the Arkansas loss.

I’m a sore loser

Prayers up sir, and will continue. Prayers for safety, peace, and security.

I hate the internet after a loss. Go to youtube and they keep showing tennessee/Arkansas content. The cookies have everything related to Tennessee football being pumped at me non-stop and I don't really want to see any of it 😂.

It's like the universe is laughing as it kicks us in the crotch while we're chained spread eagle to a wall.

We’ve got you, @Ulysees E. McGill!! 🙏🙏

I'm interested in how Florida defends us, because they are bad at defending the run and the pass. Arkansas at least has a decent run defense coming into our game with them.

Praying for all!!

Headed to the Florida game this week. My checker game box is kind of big. Will they just let me bring that into the stadium? I don’t want to have to bring in individual checkers.

You probably thought that Banks and Martinez should have been fired too. You realize that Elarbee didn't play a snap and that he doesn't all of a sudden suck, I think we had a good o-line in 2022.
My Daddy always said you can think it but don't put it in writing or you'll be having crow for supper. Don't do this to yourself, it was one game or look for a good hiding spot.
A few things:

Sorry on the misspelling of Elarbee. My bad.

UT did have a good o-line in 2022 with a line full of players here from the previous coaching staff and a lineman with top-10 NFL potential.

Do you not have the slightest hesitation with the offensive line play thus far this season? It has 4 Seniors starting on it. I expected them to be better than they have been. The reality of there not being younger guys ready to step in falls at Elarbee's feet.

We can be critical of a performance by a unit and hope it's just a single event. But, the last 2 games coupled with the development piece do make me question the bigger picture.

I hope that UT neglects in maximizing Nico's potential because the line play is subpar during the time that he's on campus. If Heard is hurt or whatever, if Campbell's injuries are too much, then at some point, Elarbee has to put those younger lineman in and hope that they are ready enough.

Saturday's loss isn't just on the line. It was a total team loss. The offensive line, along with the coaching/playcalling on Saturday night, were 2 of the biggest factors in the loss.

Ok in two years of road games there have been two live ball penalties called against our opponents offenses. One against FL and one against MO last year.
I'm going to take your word for it, and that is crazy. No way almost every team we played on the road played perfectly every play after the ball was snapped.

I was fortunate to never deal with a major Hurricane while living in Tampa for 17 years. But my brother is staying (lives in St. Pete). Fortunately, he's on the bay side and several floors up. But yes, I used to drive from Clearwater beach to St. Pete beach worried about hurricanes. You have the gulf on one side and the bay on the other. That area is so built up and it's just flat. There will be tons of damage.
