So happy to get the win. We're not a top 10 team right now, but we've got the ability to be one as soon as Nico can settle back down and get a little confidence. The tackles need to play better and I'm definitely not saying the o-line is blameless because they've led to Nico losing confidence, but the misfires from Nico are really hurting. It looked like Heupel was finally running some plays to roll out Nico and overcome the issues with the o-line and plays were there in the passing game. I'm optimistic because receivers are getting wide open and we've seen Nico hit those earlier this season. The fact that Heupel had him throwing it in OT when we only needed a FG...that has to give Nico some confidence.

Playcalling wasn’t perfect, but it improved so much in the last 20 minutes of game time. Build off that and come in ready to spank bama next week.

Yup. Started running power leads instead of inside zones, got Nico on the move and throwing to the sideline to attack their soft zone. Gonna have to keep adjusting because teams will continue to play 2 deep safeties

Florida gave a lot of different looks up front but almost always had 2 deep safeties. The one time I noticed they rolled a safety down was when nimrod burnt them but Nico missed him

It’s absolutely blatant for two seasons, now. It’s basically statistically impossible for our level of defensive line play to draw so few holding calls.
