We're a run first offense.

Against Bama we ran for 214 yards and 5.0 ypc, most of the damage was in the 2nd half though. Bama is the 14th worse rushing defense in the SEC (after playing us).

Kentucky is the 12th worse.

I don't think Kentucky will be able to do what our last 3 opponents have done though. They all were able to stay on the field each getting at least 10 first downs and running 70+ plays. Partly because all 3 of them stuck with trying to run the ball, despite our running defense holding them below their season YPC averages.

Arkansas is 3rd in SEC in yards per carry
Bama is 5th
Florida is 10th
Kentucky is 13th

I think this is a game where our defense should be able to get more 3 & outs and that will allow our offense more chances to get things going in the first half.

In short, WGWTFA.

Trounce UGA at home
Win a Heisman
Keep all opponents under 20 for rest of season
Have a Heisman attendee

Also for the early season haters... Pearce with 3.5 sacks leads the team right now.

Last year he was sitting at 7 at this point in the season, so maybe the slower start this season means he has a strong finish. We've had 2 bye weeks in the last 5 weeks so that should have the team as fresh as possible!

Whatever they are doing, they are managing Pearce well. Playing enough to make an impact for us, but not to the point where his “wear and tear” could potentially hurt his stock, meaning a potential injury.

Also starting Josephs and getting him use to a beefed up roll for next year when he is the top dog doesn’t hurt either.

All this is out the window if our previous opponents don't get their crap together and get our strength of schedule up. Heck I see a scenario where we could win the SEC and be left out of the playoff because of piss poor SOS and Vandy gets in.

I've always said there was nothing wrong with the BCS ranking system, the only problem was that there were only 2 teams picked and not 8. I have no idea why they felt the need to move to a committee when they moved to a 4 team format, the BCS always got the top 4 right.

Only one year I thought the BCS was wrong. 2001 when Nebraska was the opponent of Miami. Oregon should've been the matchup, Joey Harrington was a good college QB.

Some complained about 2004 because Auburn was undefeated but no team was beating the USC team that season. Oklahoma got absolutely destroyed by the Reggie Bush led Trogans..

Well they kinda did keep the BCS, they just took out the C. I have full confidence in Condoleezza Rice or Anita Hill or whoever picking the teams.

Keep the bcs and take the top 4, 8, 12 or whatever top arbitrary number you want outside the conference winners. The selection committee is a reality show for television. Every year is a different rationale to placate for certain “brands” to be in the playoff.

100% agree, the worst part was Colorado had just blown out Nebraska too. Which Oregon then beat down.

Well looking back now I say we should’ve just lost to NC St. and OU. Takes the whole SOS business out of the equation.

Truthfully everybody with two losses will be on the chopping block for the CFP panel then from there they will look at SOS and other stats etc…ppl have got to stop looking at the AP poll which mean absolutely nothing. Way too much football left to be played

Well I don’t want to tell tales out of school but it is a well known fact that JP is afraid of the dark and sleeps with the light on. Rumor has it that he is terrified of starting and playing football in general.
