He is a college coach, and his job is to get guys to the NFL. He has sent a bunch. Dare I say that he’s sent nearly as many as Garner. I’ve looked it up. But I know you don’t care. So, in a year where we have elite secondary play, you still bang that drum. So that tells you that you aren’t changing your mind. Figures.

No I am not changing my mind. Like I said, the secondary has been our main weakness ever since Heupel got here. Disagree if you like bu that’s a fact. McCoy is a transfer. He wasn’t some walk on or unknown. He was a good starter his freshman year. Let’s not act like Martinez recruited him. He didn’t.

Also, it’s been said many times how dominant our front 7 has been and how that makes the secondary look great. Also, like I said, I would expect a guy who has coached over 30 years to have sent many guys to the NFL. Comparing him to Garner? . So the only way Martinez has improved is to get more talented guys and Garners group improving. Funny how Garner took the guys he had and developed them. The excuse for Martinez has constantly been, oh he doesn’t have the talent. Yeah that’s a pathetic excuse.

Carry water for Martinez all you want. I wont. I believe we would have been much better off if it’s a more elite CB coach.

I've wondered how much he's impacted the increased defensive presence this season. I think he's helped more than is being realized.

Agreed. A coaching lifetime of different influences. Liked his predecessor, but I think he’s an upgrade…at least technique wise. I personally believe he picked the Vols over Bama for the opportunity to be a coordinator in the near future and he knows that Heupel’s process values promoting from within.

I don’t carry water for anyone. I comment on what I see and research. So much for the games last year where we gave up over 200 yards rushing. But I know, that’s not your narrative.

It was obvious that it would happen. He's all talk.
