Recruiting Football Talk VIII

We will most likely be able to handle the run (Georgia can't run) and get pressure with a light box and sit back in coverage. I expect multiple turnovers. On offense Georgia is adequate, not dominant, up front but their secondary has been a nightmare. I think Alabama's defense is similar in design and better than Georgia. We ran on them and had receivers open all open all over.
On paper this is a bad matchup for the Dogs and I think Bowl Cut knows it from listening to his comments. But they are playing at home and that is something. All in all I expect to handle them no matter who's qb, and I am still saying Nico plays.
WGWTFA.
I think one thing not being mentioned enough about the injury report is that Georgia has 3 RBs out including their main RB, Etienne. Cash Jones is questionable but has only played like 8 snaps this season. That leaves Nate Frazier as the only running back they really have right now unless they move Dillon Bell over from WR. Frazier is gonna be exhausted by the second half having to handle all the rushing and pass blocking against the DL. I see them trying a lot of jet sweeps and screens.

Why do people keep saying 'not good' to betting numbers? Someone please explain how that has any bearing on Saturday's game?

'Guys, Vegas says Georgia is gonna win. Its over. Dsamp, lets hold off on pre game speech. We're gonna give your touches to Iron Pipe. Nico, you're out. Gas pipe, you're in.'

'Ready? Gaspipe, go take a knee.'

UT - 22
Ole Miss - 10

The Vols traveled to Jackson to face the Rebels in front of 35,000. At 3-5, and playing the #20 team in the country, a winning season and bowl game looked bleak. But, UT played their most complete game of the season. Trailing 10-9 with about 12 minuets left, Jeff Francis hit Joey Clinkscales on a 38 yrd TD. On the next Rebel play, Terry McDaniel intercepted an Ole Miss pass at midfield. Nine plays later, William Howard scored from the three to secure the 22-10 victory. Howard’s TD was the first rushing touchdown Ole Miss had given up in 18 quarters. The Vols finished with a 7-5 record and a Liberty Bowl win.

They will try the flat a ton I suspect. If we are able to stay in quarters or cover three, that will be taken away. To have success Georgia will have to force us out of playing with a light box, aka running between the tackles.
