Recruiting Football Talk VIII

If the 3 loss team is Tennessee, no way would the committee put us in.
If Texas beats uga, they will both still make it.

I am fine with an at large bid. I still want some more losses. longhorns getting shellacked by A&M, GT beating uga. michigan over osu, Maryland beating psu,
This would be unlikely but awesome.
Oh and the trojans beating notre dame would be lovely. 😈
I’d like more losses only because if A&M beats TX and makes it into the title game, whether they win or lose, I don’t trust the committee enough to say our spot is solidified.

Outside of games that will benefit us, I’m really rooting for Kansas to get bowl eligible next week. Really impressive the way they’ve responded the last month.
Leipold is likable and iirc a former Danny White hire.

KU is absolutely terrible at football historically, so what he's doing there is nothing short of a miracle. If their basketball nuts would ever invest in football and NIL, they could run the new Big 12.

🤔 Tyson could've killed him if he really wanted to. Such a scam.

He had absolutely no legs. Looked wobbly AF like an old man by just the end of the 2nd round. Idk if he has leg issues or what, but he didn't look right stucturally. Paul also had a 6" reach advantage. All he had to do was jab and keep his distance.

While Tyson could have landed a monster blow in the first 2 rounds when his legs weren't complete jello, he failed to land a monster punch. Paul has a pretty good chin too. Kid can take a beating, as we've seen before. He's no legit pro, but he's been trained very well and has good structure.

I know us "olds" hated to see it, but father time is undefeated. JP was a huge favorite for many very good reasons.

Purdue is gonna beat them
God I hope not. Keep them in and the talented SEC teams far away from the playoffs.

Would love to get IU in Knoxville...or hell at IU, location doesn't matter lmao

As OFF as this offense has been, when it faces considerably less talent, it still scores quite easily. See: NC St, Miss St. Indiana is 23 spots below Miss St in talent rankings, 17 below NC St. In fact, they'd be the least talented P5 team, on paper, we faced all season.

From one fellow southerner who is also married to a northeasterner, how long did it take and what is the blueprint? 😅 My wife doesn’t like sports all that much as it is, but especially doesn’t like football, so I may just be out of luck.

My last great plan is to get my two young daughters onboard and then mom will have no choice. Wish me luck!

Same here. NE born wife is UT all the way but doesn't like to watch games. Both my kids know we are a UT house and hate the Gators but also don't care about watching games. At least they leave me alone and don't complain about my yelling at the TV.

Unfortunately, wife likes the Patriots and Brady. Divorceable offense if she wasn't hot or I cared about the NFL since Manning retired.

So, I went and watched Toombs Co GA playoff game Friday night, and got to see Lagonza Hayward in person.

He's a specimen. Not huge. Didn't look like he has an ounce of fan on him. Planty of frame to add weight in our S&C program. He will be a problem on the field for opponents after S&C gets hold of him.

He's fast and hits hard. Seems to be in the right spot play after play on defense. Good instincts.

Plays both ways. Looks good as a receiver. Physical. High points the ball. Has the 'fight' in him for 50/50 balls. But he won't be playing on O. He'll be roaming in the backfield on defense, and he'll be bringing some pain.

The locals were telling me that he's a positive leader on the team. You can see it in-game. He was constantly in the ear of teammates, celebrating their good plays and it looked like giving instruction and encouragement. He was active putting teammates into position pre-snap. Seemed like a hugely positive guy throughout the game.

They won 59-21.

He seems to be all-in on the Orange. There was some worry in his thread about UGA. All I know is (having not spoken to him)... He was wearing an orange ribbon hanging off the back of his pants. He had an orange mouthpiece, and his teammates didn't. Orange is not a part of Toombs Co's color scheme. Not even close. They are red/blue/white.

And interestingly, having read some posts worried about UGA, a coming visit, and the UT loss to UGA this weekend... Locals said that Friday was the first time this year that he's worn the orange ribbon on his uniform. So, that could indicate that his "Go Orange" message is bigger this weekend than ever.

I repped the orange in the crowd. Not sure if he saw it. lol

Just saw Heupel mention we're undefeated at home 2 of the last 3 seasons...

Man, if that doesn't keep folks up on season tickets and sold out home crowds, nothing will. Come to Neyland, you're going to see a W.

Thank you, Coach Heupel! You've restored us. Truly.
He has only lost one home game in 3 years.

End of the season is approaching us soon…so this is an appreciation post for what @Freak has built and how far we’ve come…so many ups and downs on this forum.. roller coaster of emotions every snap and coaching searches with BVS hanging out full exposure😂..I wouldn’t trade my time on here for anything in the world..this is why we love sports..and to all my friends old and new comers (welcome)…it’s been an absolute privilege being here with you.

Fascinating. I have read a bit about psilocybin, but know next to nothing about other psychedelics. For reference, in the spectrum of shroom doses (ranging from a micro dose to full ego dissolution), where are you seeing things like this?
Anywhere from 3.5 grams to 7 grams. I did 7 once. What a wild ride that was

Also. . . looks like Bama stopped paying attention to the little things again.
That is so funny because I listened to Butch Jones’ postgame on the radio yesterday. He said the reason they won yesterday was because his team is paying attention to the little things. He said Friday every player arrived to team meeting with their t-shirts tucked into their shorts. Staff did not have to remind anyone to tuck their shirt. He said he knew then they were going to win.
