I think I could survive a few weeks if I could manage to find freshwater, build a secure camp site and keep a fire going. I'm probably underestimating how hard it would be to hunt food.

I'm not sure how long it would take until a panther got me or some random disease or infection would take me out. . . my luck, I'd be caught by a tribe of cannibals in about 5 minutes.

Water filtration or purification device. Giardia and other bugs are in water sources all over the world.
If I have clean water, that’s all an American would need. I have enough fat to survive for 2 weeks without food.

#1 killer in the world is death by bad water.

Follow the rule of 3s for survival.

You will die without:

Oxygen. for 3 minutes
Shelter for 3 hours (depending upon climate)
Water for 3 days
Food for 3 weeks
Companionship for 3 months (dying of loneliness has happened to survivors adrift in the ocean. Found dead even though they still had food and water)

Absolutely love my Wilderness Medicine conference and Scout education.

I think you must have been at the wrong Waffle House. It wasn't the Papermill Waffle House. Which is extremely lucky for us both. I'd hate going to jail the day before Thanksgiving for killing an old man.

I'd also like to see a city version of this. Get dumped into a foreign city with nothing but your clothes. No money, no phone, no friends, nothing at all. . . it would probably also need to be a foreign language city. That's probably a lot harder than it sounds.

I’m from Memphis Tennessee. Everything I need in the urban environment is easily accessible and close at hand. Language is not a barrier. 😂
