That was obviously a fumble. This idea that you have to have a perfect HD view of it in order to make the right call is stupid.

You can’t see the ball at the exact moment that his butt hit the ground, but two frames later the GT defender has clear possession of it when it comes into view.

Why go fer 2?

Clearly Kirby doesn’t trust his defense to keep Tech out of the endzone. You go for 2 so that when the opponent scores a TD to get to 24 they could still be within 2 possessions.

I think the thinking of going for two is if you get it and it is down to 9 then no matter what happens with their next score you would only be down two scores and you could gamble a little more to make something happen.

That's an auto bid AND top seed AND a bye.
