Recruiting Football Talk VIII

All refs are.

They go against you, they go for you.

We took the advantage tonight. 6 more FTs, fewer fouls.

Again a hilarious conspiracy thinking a shiz ref has anything to do with us, as we win again with fewer fouls. Paranoia maximum.
We wouldn’t have fewer fouls if they didn’t have to purposely foul to extend it. But I really don’t care. Adams has shown to be bad for years. Just research the way he gave a technical to Jeronne Maymon years ago. He wants to be seen.

Add
TV Teddy to the list
Doug Shows too
Tony Greene was awful
Terry Ogelsby

If fans know your name as an official, you arent very good.

Seemed pretty evenly called to me also. The funny thing is if you go on the Texas board it will be the exact same thing in reverse.
My response had nothing to do with how the game was called tonight. The subject was Pat Adams. If you know college basketball, you know he’s bad. Some nights, maybe he’s average. But he’s proven it over time.

Bingo.

All fanbases are the same.

ThE ReFs PiCk On US (and us only)!! 😅🤣
I know even Kentucky and Duke fans think they get screwed. I am also not a big fan of Pat Adam’s as I know he can make it about himself sometimes. Tonight’s game I actually forgot he was even a referee which I view as a compliment. It’s just an incredibly difficult game to referee and often times two elite refs can’t agree on a call when watching in HD in slow motion. Just emotional fans being emotional fans.

I can agree, that today was actually officiated well, which is an anomaly for a Pat Adams game.

What I noticed:
1. Dubar finally looked confident and impacted the game. Would love to see him take it into the paint more. Long arms like Admiral but probably a better 3pt shooter.
2. Lanier got put in the doghouse early because he wasn't doing something Barnes wanted him to do. He will be fine.
3. Milicic needs to start shooting again. Couple wide open looks that he turned down and coaches shook their heads.
4. Okpara turned it up a notch and refused to be bullied at the rim. Needed that against Florida so a good rebound for him.
5. Phillips is so aggressive and athletic. I know he's still rehabbing but he might be our only consistent threat inside late in the season. Godo to see someone back it down in the paint for once.

Go Vols. Real UT - again

Admiral shot 42% his last year here, dude was lethal. Dubar had a game, Admiral has a legacy.

Agree with rest, also loved the spread & drive by ZZ at the end to help create better looks. Very smart coaching there.

I know Pat Adam’s and he’s not my favorite as I’ve seen him make it about him which I don’t like. I thought the crew did a good job tonight. It’s a hard job and let’s face it Devo has a point it’s literally every fan base every single game.

Just saying I see Dubar's potential now

Yeah tonight was a big time “oh, now I get it” game for sure. He was also allowed to play through mistakes tonight with Cade banged up & Igor/Shack both in foul trouble. He can be a big piece for us if he keeps playing like this.

Pat Adams, Doug Shows, and Teddy Valentine are the three officials that stand out to me the most for notoriously being bad.

I also remember Anthony Jordan (LSU grad) screwing us in a game in Baton Rouge several years ago. He no longer worked SEC games after that event.

Hopefully he builds on tonight and gets more confident
