Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Not a medical doctor, but the worst would sepsis or a serious blood infection. I’m with Jack, I’d definitely call the nurse line. Or look into doing a Telehealth call. I believe some of those are 24 hours and would be cheaper than the ER.
Not alarming, but it can be very serious. My wife's grandmother was considered immuno compromised. She was older, but had a cyst rupture, and didnt make it.

Also, kinda crap they didnt leave you with any 'hey if this happens...' instructions.

Apparently, it was a cyst that got infected, at least that's what the ER doc said. He drained it and removed at least most of the cyst wall. It was a fun way to spend this afternoon. Thing was like the size of an egg. Anywho, it seems to be filling back up. As a liver transplant recipient, I'm immuno-suppressed. Should I be concerned. I know @VolsDoc81TX won't read this for a few more days, and I could be dead by then, so I was hoping we had another VN doctor currently up to date.

@kiddiedoc

Not to mention the SEC looks like the toughest conference we have ever seen.

The fanbase freaking out over road losses to NCAA tournament level teams, is peak idiot margin!

They seriously don't understand college basketball at all.

Tennessee is ELITE in basketball for going on EIGHT seasons.

19-20 they were on the bubble and at worst make the NIT in a rebuilding year, otherwise

17-18 (26-9) co-regular season champs, 3 seed, 1 NCAA win.

18-19 (31-6) 2 seed, Swt 16

20-21 covid year (18-9) 5 seed

21-22 (28-7) SEC title, 3 seed, 1 NCAA win

22-23 (25-11) 4 seed, Swt 16

23-24 (27-9) SEC champs, 2 seed, Elite 8

Currently 16-2 working on another trip to the tournament, another high seed.

We are always ranked, been ranked number one several times, beaten number one teams, countless good teams in the regular season.

There is hardly anyone better than Tennessee basketball right now and we are a football school.

Peak insanity if anyone has serious issues with the program right now.
I asked the question is this SEC the toughest it’s ever been in basketball. And many in here said yes.

Are you on a broad spectrum antibiotic?

I am kinda surprised if they closed it back up? I had a wound on my arm get infected and my body walled the infection off into several little pockets because i am stubborn and dumb. When they drained it, they took a "L" shaped instrument and had to break up all the "walls" that were inside the pocket with all the green junk. When she got it sufficiently broken up and cleaned out, she left a ",wick" packed back inside the wound and sticking out the hole. It was to pull all the infection out as it dumped from the surrounding tissue into the empty cyst. Had to change it out later. Seems like thats what you needed too...a way for the rest of the fluids to get out of the cyst after the fact.

I see it is as absolutely not as bad as it seems, and absolutely not as good as it seems. Were we #1? No! Are we #25? No!

Somewhere in between.

I see 10 wins, and three losses. KY, FL, Bama, or a Missouri-Aub trip up. 10-3.
I don't think we match up well against Auburn. I think we are likely looking at 7-8 wins. This team lacks a creator on offense. Ziegler can create but no one else is stepping up. And injuries will continue to mount, they always do.

Good season, but just not what we were hoping for....... Unless someone steps up. It was suppose to be Lanier but I'm beginning to doubt.

After they lost Estrella CRB relegated Millicic to being a #4 and #5 - which dropped him out of a primary scorer role. I love CRB, but that is a mistake if it continues. Sub Phillips in for Okpara and run a two #4 D and O. They need Millicic to do his thing offensively for Lanier to be able to have room to shoot since he sucks a creating O on his own.
It could help.....

I'd go back, to be safe. Better to spend a few more hours there than a few days or worse later on.

My unprofessional opinion not being any kind of doctor but seeing every possible skin infection known to man through wrestling:

He didn't put you on any kind of antibiotic?? Cyst or not, if the infection needs to be drained, usually the next thing that happens is an aggressive antibiotic treatment.

I would not wait around on that one. Not with your liver.
I have an antibiotic. Been taking it as prescribed.

Yes, I'm on an antibiotic.

Imagine throwing the ball in thay situation when you have the best running QB of all time and a hall of fame freak human in the backfield

It's up there with Pete Carroll stupid.
Did not see, but agree. For the hellva it.

Don't they have some run options where Lamar can hand to Henry or keep it? A "double option" play. That would stress the edge mightily imo.

Did not see, but agree.
He ran a Butch Jones ass flood play to Mark Andrews

Good call. He dropped it.

But uh...he had just fumbled recently, it's snowy, wet, negative degrees outside and you have the most dynamic backfield in FOOTBALL HISTORY and you don't run the ball.

I hate the Ravens, but I hate seeing that level of dumb.

Thought I would share a movie recommendation...I just watched a Liam Neeson movie from 2015 called Run All Night...I was expecting a typical mindless rowdy violent cheesy Taken style Neeson movie...but dang was I wrong...this is a hidden gem.

I don't really know how to describe it accurately, so I won't, except to say it is like a strange in a surprising good way hybrid cross between Goodfellas/Sopranos and John Wick.

The top notch cast acts it's ass off, the writing is excellent, and, and the cinematography is both gritty and slick.

It is really really good, and if you can't catch it free it is well worth the price of a rental...you will be entertained. Right now it is on Netflix and will be until Jan 31st.

I don't know how I missed this one except I just dismissed it like I think everyone probably has because I just thought it was a typical Neeson movie...but it is not..I actually think it is maybe his best performance and movie...excepting Rob Roy.
Much appreciated. Love a good movie rec. If I disagree upon review, don’t hate me for roasting you.

They rolled Lamar out, so they gave him an option. The play was wide open though. Todd Monken is a good play-caller.
